100% per annum is good, let it be.

IMO it's way too much..

But the model might be improved;

Year 1: 10% -->fast increase in adoption, but most people will hold and stake
Year 2: 7,5% --> Same as 1st Year
Year 3: 5% --> More exchanging hands
Year 4: 2,5% --> Even more exchanging hands, but the adoption should be already nice
Year 5 and after: 1% --> Prevent the inflation and secure the network

that theres a good suggestion

I don't know about you guys...but my wallet says staking and my weight is 3. Expected time to earn reward is 52 minutes.

i'm staking since yesterday & already got some free coins from staking  Grin
go sync go!

i also think 100% only for first month sounds good! you can allways stretch this 100% period if needed

Weight 5, could happen in 31 minutes. But then I have another stake already going on for 43 more confirmations

OMFG.so if u dont have a full coin u dont stake .this is turning into a fuking joke this coin.

I never read such a comment from the dev.

The only thing he said was that you should buy more coins to increase your chances of staking and that got misunderstood and blown up way out of proportion.
I wish he hadn't said it

I think 100% for just a month would be enough to get things going (raise supply to almost 1100 total) and then 20% for the rest of the year and 5% after.
But really, at this point just anything to get us moving
i never said the comment was from dev it was people in here .one guy said u had to have atleast 1 whole coin and another said u didnt .but some other guys have corrected the guy who said u needed a full coin as he was incorrect.

Good to see almost 5GH of x11 HASH on the SYNC multipool. This is a good sign of a good community. Come on people jump on it if you havent already.

My 3 SYNC withdrwal from MP took so long but its in my wallet now unconfirmed. Did you see me complain? Nerves of steel.  Cool

I made some extra BTC too daytrading SYNC, got in low yesterday. I am hoping a bit more FUD so I can do it again  Cool

Why is it a good suggestion? it's too low and very short term. People need motivation to invest and to keep them in the wallet.
A high mid to high POS stake reducing yearly makes the POS phase mimic the POW phases of coins that dont have POS i.e dark.

the ''Out of sync'' might be caused by the speed that blocks are found...

I think I already saw something like that before in another coin....

it's ''out of sync'' between the new blocks....but I think it will update the blocks and chain as it goes....it just tooooo ooooo oooo sloooooow

yes

we would need to have more nodes.

Try this:

1) open on your firewall port 24241
2) edit your %appdata%/Sync/sync.conf   file in this way:

port=42421
server=1
listen=1

3) launch your sync-Qt wallet

Now you should be a node

I don't think the number of nodes is an issue now. I'm connected to more than 60 nodes

if you are connected to more then 8-15 nodes you actually act as a node and your wallet is contributing to sync network stability Wink
Like mine Wink

Most probably you firewall port 24241 is opened or you are on a windows machine without firewall directly connected to the WAN

My connection is very tight, but I'm routing everything through StrongVPN Wink

Now my Mac Sync-QT wallet has 113 connections Smiley

It happened when I opened 24241 TCP port on the router where my mac is connected.
I am a big node Wink

Kindly check how many connections has your sync-Qt wallet and if less then 15
open TCP port 24241 on your firewall

In this way you will become a node and will help the Sync network to quickly find blocks.

It doesn't really matter, 1%, 20%, 100% or even 200%. It will be proportional to whatever the wallet contains and that is 100% fair.

I guess the higher it is, the more it will stimulate to holding back instead of dumping?
Psychology of numbers..

But it says %100 POS so I want my share too. If it's %100 fair distribution, then they should give my share.

short term and huge % is just good if you want to kill the coin...

it would create hype....fast price increase, dump, bagholders and kill the coin

10% is already huge...it's a good enough motivation for the start..

Do I need to do anything special to make my wallet stake? Or just have it open?
It is synced to block 8208, with 13 connections.
But just says my coins are not mature.
I have .72 Sync.

Thanks.

It just has to be unlocked and more than 1000 confirmations since arrival at your wallet, that's all.

Updated wallet.
Deleted everything except wallet.dat
restarted
38 connections
well over 1000 confirms
current block 8208
wallet unlocked and open for the last 12 hours or so

STILL "Not staking because you don't have mature coins"

Are you serious? Huge? Lol
10% is tiny for a coin with 1000 coins to start.
Trust me on this, a decent POS will not kill the coin,
I am LT investor into TEK and HOBO I should know (both have high POS and are very popular).

Well, that's a bug, it shouldn't be like that.

Do you have

Code:

listen=1

in your conf?

Everyone needs to remember that coin staking is like a lottery. Over the year everyone will get the same POS % but the actual staking is done by luck. The more coin you have the better chance at any given point a part of it will stake (naturally). If you have a smaller amount it may just take longer, but it will happen.... That is how POS works.
