How long should it take to sync a new node? I've been running for several days and it's now slowed down to only obtaining about 2 weeks of blockchain data per day. I'm 2 years and 14 weeks behind. I have 16 active connections to the clams network.

It takes a very long time. Weeks or months, apparently due to some long-unfixed bugs in the code. If you don't want to wait you can download a copy of the blockchain. I've synced twice. It does work, but requires patience. I've got the bootstrap section which I needed, and I'm tailing the debug log, looks like it'll still take 27 hours. Does that seem right? I know bitcoin takes ages; but this blockchain isn't even 1% of the size of bitcoins... |

It does work, but requires patience. Kinda of a big issue. Users can always download the Bstrap. but Reputable exchanges normally insist on compiling from the github and natural sync. |

Thanks. I saw that one but couldn't find any api info for it. Do you know if there is an api and if so where the documentation is? Looking for an api to look up balances and transactions. |

was somewhere in the pantry purse with this coin, which at one point shut and refused to work properly. Attempts to cure the purse nor to no avail, but remove it I did not. This topic has long been seen, but somehow passed. Now I decided to make a replacement wallet.dat and suddenly a coin appears again, the more the price went up..

Didn't expect such a slow sync, wallet syncs a day, and there is still more than two years, but will have to be persistent, when you insert old wallet.data looked through past transactions. So I hope to restore the old balance. But I will not refuse the help if anyone advise how to expedite the synchronization process. Understand that you should have patience, as the branch does not often look down, perhaps the issue will resolve on their own.  |

HELP.
I sent coins on the 23/08/17 from my QT wallet and still waiting. Clams not showing in wallet (4 weeks behind and cant sync to the network and destination address didn't get the coins). What is happening!? did i lose my coins?

I used the bootstrap posted here in batches of 10000 blocks. I just needed 3 of them (up to bootstrap161.dat) and the wallet was on ALL day since that and nothing. Still stuck and unable to sync. |

I used the bootstrap posted here in batches of 10000 blocks. I just needed 3 of them (up to bootstrap161.dat) and the wallet was on ALL day since that and nothing. Still stuck and unable to sync. Every time it gets stuck, restart it. Eventually it will sync fully then you will be good to go. It took me 3 days to sync, with the bootstrap, i just checked it every once in a while and if it had not made progress, i restarted it. |
