Assetto Corsa (Italian for "racing setup") is a sim racing video game being developed by the Italian video game developer Kunos Simulazioni. It is designed with an emphasis on realistic racing experience with support for extensive customisation and modability. The game was released through the Steam's Early Access program on 8 November 2013.

I am pleased to announce the public beta test phase of the first HYPER Assetto Corsa server!

All you need to do to play is connect to the "HYPER TTR" server within the game.  The easiest way to connect is to go to the multiplayer portion of the game and search/filter the server list by the word "HYPER".

The current plan is to change the track and available car(s) weekly. All lap times are recorded and the fastest laps displayed here: http://ac.microngaming.com/

Prizes for having the fastest lap during a competition period:
1.)  125 HYPER
2.)  60 HYPER
3.)  30 HYPER

Additional HYPER will also be awarded to lower ranked drivers, I am thinking of rewarding the top 10 fastest drivers. Payments past 3rd place would be very low however, likely ~1 HYPER.

Hi again... besides TF2 I'll be trying EVE online also, my question is: do we have to blow stuff up... or can we get Hyper by "mining" asteroids etc.

The HYPER payouts were intended to be bounties, so yes, you have to blow up other players.  Now, that may be difficult for new players to do, but you can always join fleets lead by more experienced players.  Just remember to obey the FC's orders!
(also try to keep in mind that EVE was built from the very beginning as a PvP-centric game, so most things are going to be PvP-focused)

You can mine if you like but as mentioned the game is very PvP oriented and a PvP situation could be forced upon you by other players outside the corporation.

This is a pretty cool idea - rewarding players who also help the ISK coffers of the HYPER Crypto Corporation grow through mining in-game. We'll also need money to dominate the Universe as well as a HYPER army right? Sounds like it might be a dangerous task though - more dangerous than it seems!

After payouts have gone out we will then be launching a new round which also includes the Team Fortress 2 server! Due to the rapid growth of HYPER 1st place is going to have to be reduced to 1000 HYPER next month. because of the wrong server? please update? is this a glitch on my end/ or is the server under maintenance?

(I discovered an old Just Cause 2 dvd which I bought from a local retailer...)

It's a glitch on your end. The Just Cause 2 DVD is outdated, please update it manually as the server auto-updates with each new release
