Awesome! Will start a new 500 HYPER RT competition today too. This is one of the few coins the crypto industry can be proud of.
Thank you for the kind words. Anybody else have a bug with the new wallet where it says "Info: Minting suspended due to locked wallet." But it isn't actually locked and still stakes and confirms the transactions? It's not a big deal just wondering if its known.
Yes I have noticed this and we will make sure it is fixed in the next release. Moving day has arrived! StarMade server will be down temporarily while making the move. IP/server address will definitely change, so I'll post new connection info as soon as I can. Stay tuned!

Glad the move went well! Looking forward to seeing the HYPER StarMade server evolve. I really need to check it out actually! I have also made the current vandal's account useless to him (at least I think I have - if not I can just tweak it slightly until he does not have access). Having problems with the wallet, every time I open the wallet I need to download the block chain again from about halfway. Once it is finished it says it is still out of sync  |

If anyone tried to connect to the StarMade server the past couple days and couldn't, I apologize. There were some technical difficulties related to the move that I wasn't able to fix until late last night. Again, my apologies, but it is up & running now. Barring any other unforeseen problems, I don't expect any more lengthy downtime. Play on!
PS: If anyone ever has any problems with the server, try to get my attention on the HYPER TeamSpeak first…if I'm away, then send me a PM here.

Hey everyone, if you've been keeping up with the HyperGG development, I am Mr.B. This past week I've been working on making a sophisticated HYPER plugin for Source-based games specifically Counter Strike:GO right now.
To me, here are the two biggest problems with HYPER right now.
1. Difficult to purchase - I mean sure, if you have an account on an exchange, you send them a check, they cash it, your account is credited and you purchase BTC. After that approximately 5-7 day period, you then need to move those BTC to Bittrex to then exchange the BTC to HYPER. Finally once the HYPER is purchased it can be moved to your HYPER wallet or anywhere else. I think one HYPER's main goals should be to make the process of buying HYPER easier and less time consuming on the buyers end. Sure it's no problem if waiting for the process I described isn't a problem but if it could realistically be set-up to allow direct transfer of fiat currency to HYPER, that would be optimal for HYPER's growth.
2. Gamer's don't know about HYPER - Sure you may be a gamer and know about HYPER, but I can say right now the vast majority of gamer's out there have no idea that HYPER exists. While there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of HYPER's infrastructure before it should be a mainstream thing, it would be a good idea to start spreading the word and getting people hyped for what's to come.

These are issues that we've discussed in the past, but I think it's important to talk about them and figure out how to spread the word of HYPER outside of the cryptocommunity. I agree it is really limited as to how HYPER can be purchased. I heard that there has been developments going on to work with a solution to directly make that conversion between a currency like USD to HYPER. I think that is really important. I would bet most people would not really feel comfortable using an exchange especially. The easier the process the better! I think it's important to get involved with the outside community (aka the real world with people who have never heard of cryptocurrency or have heard of it but don't care). What would be a good way to introduce them to use HYPER? I was thinking of spreading the word at some high schools and colleges eventually. I know that @Crypto_Believer is thinking of creating stickers which would be awesome!!! It would be a great start to just spread those around at events. If anything, just mentioning it in different forums and gatherings and even during online gaming could be a start. |

Well, like I said elsewhere, I'm giving HYPER and BTC for Christmas. Teens especially.
I'd personally be surprised if we got a USD/HYPER exchange any time soon. We're, what, the 75th biggest market cap right now in crypto. We're still small potatoes. What worries me is something like bitcoin or gems eating our lunch. Yeah, PoS is uniquely well-suited for crossgaming currency, if only from a supply side, but betamax died. Tech isn't everything.
Frankly, the one thing that HYPER has that the other alts dont is David Seaman. Right now, much of HYPER's value is backed with his reputation. It's keeping us afloat, but the market isn't moving. Nor should it, until something changes.
