I honestly think it's a bit large and the community will struggle to raise those funds.

10 BTC is more than adequate. That's several thousand free dollars if someone can crack it - plenty of incentive.

I know the bigger the amount the more attention, i just want to keep expectations realistic before we run away with this 100 BTC idea.

The first 75 people have more than 10000 XCs with 20x increase one person with 10000 XCs will get 260 BTC if he feels he cannot donate 1 BTC towards this I will feel a bit ashamed if I was Him.

This example is just made with a 10000 coin address the first ten addresses have more than 100000 XCs each. if they do not donate 1 BTC call it short handed will be an euphemism lol.

if you are going to hold until there is a billion dollar market cap you dont need more than 10k xc to see what most of the world would consider tremendous wealth, but if you dont spread out the coins amongst more investors than you will never see the billion dollar market cap to start with.

lets be honest about it, an anonymous easy to use communication platform is worth a billion dollars.
but unless there are 100 million people using it it is not even worth worth a few million dollars until the idea has been patented and is made marketable, therefore we need to get all of cryptoland involved before this idea is made mainstream outside of XC's control, or xc will just be a speculators toy and dan might as well have just worked for the CIA or google.

Anyone know if the huge BTC bounty for cracking the anon is still planned to happen with Rev3?  Gotta think that will open eyes and be huge news in the crypto world.

No it is not official the Bounty is official the amount is suggested by me. I think everyone of the top 100 can donate 1 BTC after the 10-20X increase in price that there will be with Rev3 so we can make the Bounty 100 BTC.. think about the free advertising we will get..

The top 100 are already minted! it would be easy to raise 100BTC (as long as Dan is confident enough that its un crackable) The attention it would get would be well worth it IMO and the top 100 will make a LOT more than 1BTC profit if it isnt cracked.

Ya - pat yourselves on the back.  No good counter arguments just "Plz delete this FUD for us" 

Actually if you looked far enough back at my posts I recommended if XC was really a DAC you start charging for XChat and whatever else you planned on providing to give XCurrency "backing".  Because the technology was completely decoupled from the currency.  It might make sense to invest in a DAC where it would not make sense to invest in a currency.  For me there can be many DAC's - only one or two currencies (coinmarketcap seems to re-enforce my opinion)

I'll throw something else constructive out - have any of you thought about seeing about getting in on the J777 deal?  He's the maker of bitcoindark and plans on combining the features of all coins involved in a public offering in some type of mutual fund into one client.  It's supposed to be the biggest IPO other than Ethereum as it will actually be backed by the currencies.  And he's more of a PoS guy ... let me try to find it.

FWIW - FUD = Making an arguement without actual points.  Shilling = selling without reasons.  I'm not guilty of either

No - he should not.  He should go with jl777 as there is already consensus around him.  He made a bunch of people money and did some marketplace exchange with NXT I think?  I would not pull off primary dev to do this ... esp when your coin doesn't have the same excitement bitcoindark currently does.  Dan won't be able to pull in BTCD & Boolberry.

The whole is often greater than the sum of the parts.  And you don't want to distract your primary dev.

*Sigh*  No the aspect that I would be thinking XC could gain is further distribution into something that shareholders are excited about.  Which I think is a net positive.

No - I don't like the dev and I don't quite understand what he's offering.  Although I probably understand more than half the buyers understand it    But it will increase adoption and exposure of the coins involved.  And if his project falls apart it won't hurt XC in any way (that I can tell).  So it's possible upside with no downside (that I can see) for XC

I would NOT recommend investors "buy into" his offering.  But if I had a primary coin esp that was PoS - I'd be pushing the hell out of this.

Banks, Hedge funds etc will soon be investing in Bitcoin and some of them in Altcoin. I'm sure that they will be looking for coins with active non anonymous teams, a roadmap with future plans and solid tech development in the past history of the coin.
