Seriously, What the fuck happened? Can someone please explain the causes of such a huge decline?
Looking at the sells, (go to bitcoinwisdom and pull up the 5min or 3min charts), they are all dumps of what seems to be a single or a few holders. Possibly it's a manipulation of the market lower, or , in my estimation, a few people cashing out with big holdings. I believe cloak will recover. It may take a month. It may take a week. No one knows. I'd be more concerned if the cloak devs stopped innovating. That, to me, is my only concern for the short term. Cloak, @ 2 months, has experienced enormous growth. It took drk roughly 4-5 months for its explosive rise. Everyone in crypto is myopic, but the long play or long view will always win. I would really like to see proof that POSA is not just a standard mixer, no offense but the POSA video could be mocked up pretty easily... I pm'd dagger WEEKS ago asking to help test POSA and he said he would pm when ready, still no word... a public testnet would do alot to restore confidence in cloak ...I want to believe in CLOAK... YOU CAN USE PoSA V1 RIGHT NOW. IT'S LIVE. MAKE A PoSA TRANSACTION AND GO TRACK IT ON THE LIVE BLOCK EXPLORER.

I have been investing a while. My only advice. NEVER follow the herd. Zig where others zag. When everyone is buying you look to sell, when everyone is selling you look to buy. Remove emotions and be smart and don't get greedy. Lastly, never invest what you aren't willing to lose.
Good luck everyone!

so are you buying now? The chart does not make sense to me, devs are innovating and delivering on their promises. yet the huge dump has occurred Just like the false high level we got on the pump the value looks way too low for what the coin offers. In my opinion anyway

Good advice - its called 'contrarian investing' and is very effective. If more people did this instead of trying to copy the whales then all this pump and dump crap would end in no time - because everyone would just sell on every pump making it hard to push the price up beyond where it should be (and taking a profit from the inflated prices), and buy on every dump meaning that it would be hard to push the price down below where it should be (and letting them take a profit when it rises again Its also quite simply - just don't get greedy and don't get scared. If the price rise looks too good to be true then sell because it almost certainly is too good, rather than being greedy and thinking about massive returns. Then if the price looks like it is falling crazy amounts, buy up all you can afford and don't get scared about the sell continuing - because even if it does your losses should only be temporary.

Could someone explain to me why is PoSA v2 anonymous? Ally has 2 PoSA addresses: Joe's and Node#1. The transaction flow is the following: tx#1 Ally is sending coins to Node#1 PoSA address together with Joe's PoSA address (how do you send the address in a transaction?). tx#2 Node#1 is sending coins to Joe's PoSA address. (this was not (well) described in the diagram) tx#3 Joe is sending coins from his PoSA address to Node#2 PoSA address tx#4 Node#2 is sending coins to Joe's receiving address Here is the problem I see: tx#4 is not anonymous as Joe's receiving address is linked with Ally's sending address through the above 4 transactions. Just in case, here is the diagram with the possibly problematic line: https://i.imgur.com/UCMqsIr.jpgIt's not possible to link sender to receiver. Coins leave Ally's wallet from a new PoSA address which is new in the blockchain. And in current implementation, coins are splited between nodes, so the coins wont reach Joe's wallet at one time, they reach Joe's wallet splitted in 3 incoming transactions. You can see this behaviour in block explorer. For example, a PoSA tx reached wallet C8xXp9RMLbSzdCkHdeZeQjfouRyi7kw65s in block 101058 as you can see here: http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/block/d8db2e2172716e51203fcc1393e40b2a455c85783f8244d227625e4fcf9f58edTry to find who send all those 3x0,33 coins=1 cloak This is PoSA v1. In PoSA v2 blockchain itself will have IF conditions that look if the coins are delivered in time and if not, coins return to sender. And also, you will have the possibility to choose how many nodes are used to split the coins. Bullet proof

I am not sure I can explain the market right now. People got nervous and unloaded and were afraid they were losing their investments. Nothing wrong with the dev team or the coin but when people get scared they run. People see others run and so they decide to run too. I can't speak for others and maybe they needed the money. Personally I do not invest in anything I am not willing to lose, therefore I can do the things I need to do to earn money. It takes some serious balls, but in order to make big bucks you need to be willing to do the things others are not willing to do. If someone needed the money then they did the right thing and sold. If you don't need the money, well that's a different story.
Do I really think it's over? hahahahahaahhahaaahahahahaha
No.
Am I in denial? Possibly but I have been in this situation many times before (outside of crypto) and have learned a lot. When people are selling off their homes and freaking out and trying to sell them off for half the price they bought it for, that's when you swoop in and buy. It's hard to see things that way when you feel the world coming down around you. Takes gonads.

I have invested a lot in CLOAK. I made good profit. I invested almost all of this profit. Today I have bought another 2000 CLOAK. I am now holding close to 8000 CLOAK. I sure hope the devs continue delivering now and I am confident I will come out of this with a profit (although it now looks likely the profit will be a little less than I thought a couple of days ago).
I am actually a bit surprised by the low price right now and that people go on dumping CLOAK...

This is cloak thread, people are going to tell you to buy TA says we are oversold. Price can go down little from here, but it can go up a lot from here. But is your money, and you have to decide if you can take the risk. If this price is cheap for you, buy.

I don't get how you're forming that conclusion.

If you're asking random people on this forum when to buy please please please get out of the altcoin markets now. Do some research. Talk to some people. Get informed knowledge about what you're investing in, and then decide what you think it'll be worth in the time-frame you'll be likely to sell it in. Any other method of investing is like dousing a pile of money in lighter fluid and putting a torch to it.

I am not nostradamus but it could stay low for a long time or someone like a whale could see this as an opportunity to make more money. If so, they can begin buying... the herd will begin to go crap it's going back up and everyone scrambles to buy in again giving people profits. Right now, it might be best to put some in but not all and keep a close eye? Don't take my word or anyone else's. Try to learn for your self and become an educated investor!

I don't get how you're forming that conclusion. This is the same result as CLOAKSEND 1.0 which was nothing but a simple mixer, we need some more concrete proof, open public BETA testing, more in-depth technical info, code reviewed by trusted source.... and as far as the price declining, its obvious if you follow the blockchain that DEV/early adopter mined ALOT of cloak, worst case senerio is that cloak devs are still using simple mixer (like cloaksend/posa v1), mocked up a video to make it look like they have more advanced working anon features (and maybe pushed price up by themselves , like happend when cloak was accepted by mintpal, price automatically shot up 150%, in hopes it would stabilize and they could offload), and now dev knows that he cant produce any real proof and will refuse to do open BETA (i've been waiting WEEKS) or a peer code review, and is trying to dump as much cloak as possible, remember guys this is still an ANON DEV.... please be careful if cloak turns out to be legit that would be awesome, we need more working anon solutions in crypto
