1. Online banking with our UK bank is currently unavailable. Payments are being received however we cannot process them. This has happened before and was dealt with in a timely manner. -- what does this mean? First thing I'd like to do is send them a few GBP to buy BTC with, but this message appears to be saying that I can't do that right now, is that so? When did the problem start? What is timely -- an hour, day, week? More information, please.

We're not sure how long it will take to be resolved as the issue is with our bank.  The last time something similar happened it took a few days to get resolved.

2. If https://intersango.com/support.php is their status page, it hasn't been updated in over a month.
That page is outdated and no longer referenced anywhere.  It has been updated to redirect to the correct location.

Thanks for the update, phantomcircuit! Definitely hoping to trade with you soon. (Don't get too excited... we're talking single digits, at least to begin with.)

Hi guys. Is there a way to see a traded volume history in your exchange?

I was wondering about the impact of the recent Bitcoinica fiasco to MtGox's total volume share.

Intersango is of course also listed on bitcoin charts.  The information however will be very misleading as our UK bank is currently having troubles so volume has dropped to almost nothing.

It has always been safe to transfer funds.

But since metro bank is still not working properly we wont be able to credit the transfer until they have fixed their account.

As you can see this appears to be a get worse before it gets better type of deal. (Their main site is now throwing an exception)

I thought you process transfer seven times a day  Angry that's like less then every four hours and I've now waited over five hours.  I only use Intersango because of rapid and cheap transfers as the bitcoins are always overpriced.  MtGox GBP market is now at £3.21 well yours is at £3.39  Angry

Transfers into the account are processed every 30 minutes.

Transfers from Intersango to you happen once daily.

Is there a reason for this ultra low quantity of bitcoins being sold in the EUR currency? Earlier today, the volume of bitcoins to be sold was even less than 500, when the volume of the BIDs was way higher than 2000!

It would be great if you could increase the Metro withdrawals from daily to twice daily or even more often.

Combined with faster payments, this would make your service unbeatable.

Can you signup to Intersango with a Tormail address and use Tor to visit the exchange without having your account frozen like MtGox.

What do you mean with 'transfers into the accounts are processed every 30 minutes'?

I've done a SEPA deposit yesterday. It appeared in the Deposits list this morning, but its status has been 'pending_review' since, and the money is still not on my balance.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I believe Intersango is the best kept secret in Bitcoin!

Agreed.  Some of the most tech-savvy and security-conscious people are behind it.

Aren't they the same folks who were running Bitcoinica? I think I might be more tech savvy than those guys. I least I know to not store 18,000 BTC online.

I'm grumpy!!

I thought you process transactions seven times a day?  I deposited via UK online banking nearly twelve hours ago.  I really hope this isn't the third time in three months for me that's it's taken longer than 24hrs to deposit as your bank will receive my transaction instantly or up to two hours at the very latest.

They were in the process of taking it over when the second hack happened. They can't be held responsible when they had only just taken over and hadn't had an opportunity to change anything.
