I give 25 k min, for a dev with a clear vision

a vision for the development of these points:

Minerals development - top priority

E-sports Betting services + wallet betting features- 242 (49.7%)
Anonymity development                                   - 129 (26.5%)
Multipool further development                            - 24 (4.9%)
SC2 tournaments                                           - 52 (10.7%)
Wallet improvements (chat, price, better design)   - 40 (8.2%)

or points from their own and new vision. Minerals can be useful in the game industry, in many ways!!  Cheesy

Bummer Sad
I synced the whole blockchain by RPC (reading the .dat fails miserably) and when client connects to query, it crashes. Next thing I do is restart, the whole shit crumbled down.

Code:

To any dev who still cares:

The Minerals-qt-nodes found at https://mega.co.nz/#!8wNXFK5a!PR3i8LOE1LRpRmbklIubv8s27lt12_JuEmiT2BaJ7ME is the only compiled executable which works on a Windows 8 computer without a pre-downloaded blockchain.

The link is found almost at the bottom of the announcement page.

This isn't the best situation when it comes to recruiting new users of this magnificent crypto-currency. Perhaps it would be possible to compile one of those fancy wallet versions into more robust Windows binaries to give a better first impression?

That's the original closed source wallet they released after people started complaining about not being able to store mined Minerals elsewhere than on the restricted pools. I'm currently only using mineralsd, as it's betting features are useless anyway. They need to be redesigned from scratch, so it's not only a wallet we need, but the whole infrastructure to support the coin. A lot of work.

Soon the situation has to clear up finally. I addressed to MineralsPR that it contacted Dev. It is necessary to wait for the official statement from the developer.

Hey just discovered this coin as i am a SC2 player, not very good though Sad

I think the concept of this coin is interesting but i do have my own coin http://foldingcoin.net which is an alternative mining experience. You dont mine a blockchain, you help Stanford Universities Folding@home project that creates medicine and FoldingCoin pays you in FLDC for your work.

We have played with the idea of using this as a game currency and we are currently trying to incorporate it as a Meetup.com currency.

Im writing because i notice that the Dev is gone, I will research this coin a little more but what if FLDC picked up where Minerals left off? we would still want to use FLDC because we feel it has more value than a traditional coin since it represents real useful work and not just wasted energy on a blockchain. But i would be willing to develop a way of buying everyones minerals off them with the FLDC funds I have folded early on when our coin was new.

I would like some feedback, what does this community think of this proposal?

Why is "the community takeover" team not exploring options with Stanford University Folding coin project??? Take overs are a dime a dozen and I've not seen any really go anywhere because there are a ton of coins trying to do the same thing. A lot of take overs are attempts to get a final pump so a few can dump... Teaming up is a good idea. Perhaps you all end up with a MIN coin, on the folding block-chain. Whats the difference? Perhaps there can be a board of developers created or stake holder voting to maintain / share the control of this coins future. The fact that no one is engaging with this offer makes me glad I never went in deep with MINs. I'll keep an eye on this though and if something truly innovative happens (like you join a team that gets you free positive PR and has real world value), then it's just another coin.

Thank you for the kind words, we at foldingcoin would love to take this over. We have even discussed buying minerals with the dev funds that we acquired early from being the only folders. I will research this heavy today and post a gameplan sometime in the future on how we could take this over in a responsible and fair manner.

Hey guys if your having trouble getting wallet to sync up that's because dnsseeds are down but the nodes are still running. Here is the Minerals.conf file for your down upload with all the nodes in place. Just add it to your Appdata folder.
http://www.filedropper.com/minerals

For more information on the editing the config wallet file visit here https://litecoin.info/Litecoin.conf

Code:
addnode=54.76.249.21:33442
addnode=178.62.10.91:33442
addnode=192.99.9.229:33442
addnode=198.100.146.163:33442
addnode=23.92.53.139:33442
addnode=192.241.188.47:33442
addnode=[2607:5300:100:100::b4]:33442
addnode=178.221.235.61:33442
addnode=77.120.190.129:33442
addnode=94.180.58.239:33442

I'll talk to Hoshimaru about getting the some more nodes running.

My retarded ISP blocks every port below 1024, meaning the one for DNS, 53 will be unreachable. bitcoin-seeder, which hero18688 mentioned a few pages ago won't work at home. Maybe its better to get a VPS, run bitcoin-abe as explorer until we get this insight up & running and then we can have a dnsseed as setup at the same time?

I think was me that memtioned bitcoin seeder lol - i may be able to host it myself - i'm playing with a couple of private VPS solutions atm. I assume we would need to create a new version of the wallet with a new set of dns nodes?

Does anyone else have the 'Not staking as your coins are not mature' message? I have over 40 connections to the network and it did mine/stake some coins an hour or so ago...

This account was hacked & possibly sold during the period of August 1st and October 24th 2017.
Anything done or said in this period wasnt me.
Many thanks to Cyrus for his help restoring access to my account.

My bad :x
I think I didn't go browse back enough.He probably quoted you then.

My wallet is still staking and "getconnectioncount" returns 9 active connections.
Code:
$ ~/Wallets/Minerals/Mineralsd getstakinginfo
{
    "enabled" : true,
    "staking" : true,
    "errors" : "",
    "currentblocksize" : 1000,
    "currentblocktx" : 0,
    "pooledtx" : 0,
    "difficulty" : 0.00067674,
    "search-interval" : 1,
    "weight" : 16796,
    "netstakeweight" : 211627,
    "expectedtime" : 377
}

The wallet must indeed be modified, recompiled & distributed. Did anyone compile the current source from github on a Windows machine yet? Does it include the betting features? I couldn't really identify them. Okay... I gave it no more than a quick glance, but I thought it might stand out, keeping the structure of other wallets in mind.

I don't think they even bothered changing the version of their wallet. The one I'm running is Mineralsd built with github sources. No GUI.
Code:
{
    "version" : "v1.0.0.0",
    "protocolversion" : 60013,
    ...
But I haven't explicitly opened the the port on my firewall and the zbox is not in DMZ either. Maybe that's why I only have 9 to 10 connections.
