i think its downloading from zero. you can downlload the blockchain in the op first page  for faster sync

Just as I suspected, something else is wrong but I still don't know what. I restarted the computer for the 4th time and this time it works, the yellow text appears.

Hope someone can help me, tried to mine CryptoNight pools today for the first time. I did

minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://aeon.extremepool.org:5555 -u address -p x

and got the reply> unsupported protocol ..... , some json error,  code -1.

I tried some other pools with the same result, so it is of course me and not the pools who have something wrong. Please help, this is probably really trivial. On the same machine solomining with simplewallet works fine.

your can change the 2 for many cpu you have. i hope this can help you  its  64 bit only
