Why is in minning pool sections on first page Unknown ?

We can mine AEON on minergate.

Because I never updated it after removing all the obsolete information that was left over from the original developer. Will fix

Is there a way to implement a payment threshold different for each miner? I mean in the standard pool software.
Every time that I find myself mining at Minergate it is for that specific reason. I don't want to gather dust.
Even for monero, which is expensive, I consider the minimum payment threshold as dust  Embarrassed
I'm not that rich too, I only have moneroj in the 3 digit territory.

There is no support for this in the pool code. However, if you PM me your Aeon address, I can hardcode an override to the payment code to use a threshold of your choosing for that address.

Thanks, but no  Cheesy
The small payments starting to make some sense now with this difficulty.
When you created your pool I started to mine there for the sake of network security, but there is a hidden big player now which holds 4/5 of the hashing power.
I think I'm going to mine an easier cryptonote now, even if it has small chances to make it (Redwind).

I guess there still is some community supporting the coin, so it's not that bad. Occasionally I can build binaries and do some testing, write a guide or something else. If there are more community members like me we can split the efforts and cover wider area of supporting tasks. Although it's not full time and not a development work, someone has to do it. So count with me.

Absolutely. There has been excellent community participation in terms of builds, answering support question, etc. and of course donations. Thanks guys!

Project update

We're still working through some issue with the pool code. Once that is worked out I will push out a new release with the hard fork set to activate.

Sorry for the unanticipated delay. Things are still moving along, but a bit behind schedule.

I'm also working on merging the cryptonote reference GUI (Bitcoin-Qt-based). I addressed several version skew issues (our original code forked off earlier than the one they used for the GUI development) and I can see a few more that need to be dealt with. It's all fixable though.

What does this mean, care to explain? Does it mine AEON and cook breakfast at the same time?  Undecided

On another Note (hehe) -- folks, you can still solo mine this coin with aeond daemon. I'm getting 2-3 blocks a day on a 4-core system.

Yup, the seed node is doing the same. Good for the network too.

Is there any node with open rpc port available?

Since there are no binaries available this can help someone :

Compile steps for Windows x64 using MSVC
First of all let's get all the tools we need :

      - Download and install Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2013 (It's a free version of visual studio with some license limitations).
You can uncheck the web development tools and SQL tools since you won't use them for building AEON.
This will take time to download and install and you will have to reboot upon completion.
      - Download and install cMake for windows from : http://www.cmake.org/download/ (Win32 install)[/li][/list]
      - Download Boost 1.57 from http://www.boost.org/users/download/ , use the zip or 7zip archive and extract.
You can use c:\boost_1_57_0 since this is what I am using for this steps.[/li][/list]
      - Download and install Github for Windows from https://windows.github.com/ (This also includes a Git shell that we will use later).

Now the nasty part compile & build time !
      - Build Boost :
Open a command line and type :
      Code:
        > cd c:\boost_1_57_0
        > bootstrap.bat
        > b2 --toolset=msvc variant=release link=static threading=multi runtime-link=static address-model=64
      - Open the Git Shell (or Git bash) depending what you downloaded previously and do.
      Code:
        > git clone https://github.com/aeonix/aeon.git
        > cd aeon
        > mkdir build
        > cd build
        > cmake -G "Visual Studio 12 Win64" -DBOOST_ROOT=c:\boost_1_57_0 -DBOOST_LIBRARY_DIR=c:\boost_1_57_0\stage\lib ..
        > cd ..
        > MSBuild Project.sln /p:Configuration=release

You should now find the exe files under build/release/src .

found some mistakes while folowing this manual:

      1) you need to be inside the map "c:\aeon\build" to execute the last step (MSBuild Project.sln /p:Configuration=release) so delete "cd .." from manual
      2) the aeond and simplewallet can be found in build/src/release

      anyway, syncing now Smiley

edit: can someone send me 1 AEON (or even less) so I'm sure the wallet is working when the blockchain is synced Wink
edit2: AEON is send. Will check when synced
