Crypti is a 2nd gen crypto and I want ppl to understand it... I need your feedback..

Would these terms make things easier to understand?

Web Node
Local Node
Account (wallet)
Address

I look forward to an easy windows guide to forge. I'm on Win 8 and I am the guy who spent lots of time on net without knowing anything of PCs.

So make a guide once win wallet is out, to forge, dumbed down to the max  Grin

hahah No problem!!  Grin

Wallet needs to be a little more welcoming and shiny also, i'm not a big fan of grey/green, sober is good but not that sober  Smiley Wallet feels a little cheap/empty i don't know.

Not very important, just sayin', other priorities right now i know  Smiley

One of the major items that was part of the meetings the past 3-4 days was interviewing designers. We plan on a full re-brand of the website and eventually the web wallet as well. That being said, I actually really love the simplicity, color scheme, and lack of clutter in the current web wallet. So, to each his own I guess.  Grin

Also keep it mind that we have several really important features on our roadmap that will be added into the web wallet. This will add a lot more "stuff" and make it feel much less "empty" as you put it.

I have a question on the data bloating problem.

traditional mining only rely on algorithm without the need for additional historical data,
both PoW and PoS follow this rule.

But it seems crypti need additional data for forging,
for example, for PoT, up time of each node is recorded,
if this data is embeded in the block chain,
it will cause a severe data bloating problem because it's not scalable with the number of forging nodes.

Can you developers clarify it for me?

thanks.

There are additional factors that must be stored on the blockchain in regards to our system when compared to PoS. That being said, we are working on solutions to keeping the block size down. Keep in mind that even at the current size, it really isn't that big. But we do agree that this is one of our focus areas. We will continue to find ways to optimize the process and reduce the size of the db.

I also have been working on a "cold storage" write up... lets hear your feedback...

In First Gen crypto's such as bitcoin, there are wallets that holds the users private and public keys in the wallet. Your crypto can only be used on the computer that has the private/public key on it. So anyone able to get access to the computer could send the crypto anywhere they wanted. First Gen has a feature to help stop this, it's called encryption and uses a password/passphrase. For some users having a single passphrase to protect your crypto just isn't enough. There is also the fear that there computer could fail, wether from a corrupted drive, house fire or any unforeseen events. So for those users there is something called "cold storage". Cold storage is also used by exchanges that don't want to keep the crypto vulnerable to hackers. So what cold storage, is taking your private/public keys off your computer. This doesn't take them off the blockchain, this only takes them off your computer. What your doing when putting the crypto in cold storage is removing the private key using the "dumpprivkey" command. You see your private and can print it on to a paper wallet if you would like. In first gen crypto the "dumpprivkey" gives you your 58 character private key, which can later be used to import back in to any wallet out there (http://www.coinqa.org/import-paper-wallet-to-litecoin-qt/).

Now Crypti a 2nd gen crypto...

The best way to look at Crypti is that it's always in cold storage. What is meant by this is when you enter your passphrase in to the wallet interface, look at it like importing a private key. Your passphrase is like a private key, however can be 100 characters and use any ANSI character ( e.g.  @ # $ % ƒ ~ ¿ ‡ ). Now Crypti also has a second security feature called "second passphrase" This in a sense can be looked at like the "encryption" from the first gen crypto's wallet.

So in comparison Bitcoin to Crypti

import private key = passphrase
encrypted wallet = second passphrase

It seems like a lot of people are confusing the node that you install on your local computer, with a "local wallet" like a QT or something from other coins. Crypti does not function in this way. The ONLY reason you would need to install the software on your local computer or a cloud server would be to RUN a node so that you could expand the network and have a chance at forging the transaction fees.

Installing the software means you are running a node on the network that helps confirm transactions and expand the network.

If your only intention is to have a "local wallet", then you don't need to even install the software. There is no local wallet and your wallet would be no different from the web wallet already available through the Crypti.me website (http://wallet.crypti.me). All you need to do is use a secret pass phrase, get an address, and send your money from the exchange to that address. As long as  you have a complex pass phrase and don't make it easily accessible to anyone (i.e. in an unencrypted file on your desktop, that would be bad), then your Crypti is secure. You can also implement the second pass phrase required for sending any Crypti from your address to make your account even more secure.

There is no need to wait for the windows software to move your Crypti from an exchange for storage. Once you move it to the address associated with your pass phrase, only someone with that pass phrase AND the second pass phrase (if set) would be able to get access to your Crypti.

Essentially, with Crypti, the wallet is just a mechanism to display the data that is stored in the blockchain. The actual data is never stored locally in the wallet.

Once the windows wallet is out, it will load the same data based on the same pass phrase, it will just allow forging from a windows based machine.

You know, before investing I've read all the posts from all of the crypti team members, and from my point of view they doing everything right. And the fun part of it that they doing it no only right, but better then I myself can do. That's why I'm sure in safety of my investments.

So this thing with waiting of win wallet may be a good thing.

And in terms of money (and money equal freedom) I think it's a chance to get freedom.

Crypti really needs to work on building of the community of forgers.
Like BTC has an "army" of miners, XCR must have thousands of forgers.

I'm not looking for it. The developer said they were doing it, two weeks ago. Of course I believe the stalling on what is a very quick and simple process should be signalling alarm bells.

Hey welcome back! We missed you! Like I said, in 6 months, come back and we will re-visit your scam claims and see who came out on the right side of history.

In time, it will all fall into place. We have a deliberate set of phases to roll out all of the features. The forgers will come with each phase as our market cap and our popularity grows. It's built into the system to encourage and reward running the network. Let's get everything working solid, syncing correctly for everyone, and the windows wallet released. Then let's get custom block chains implemented and the merchant review system. At that point, we can revisit and publish some statistics on nodes on the network and forgers and see where we are at.

good thing take time  Lips sealed

We initially had to focus most of our energy on stabilizing the client and working out the syncing bugs and issues we were having in the client. Releasing new features into a buggy client would be bad business. I understand it has taken time but we have now been going about 48 hours on 0.1.6c with no syncing issues, db issues, or other. This is progress. It isn't necessarily the progress everyone was hoping for, but it's stable, consistent progress and allows us to move on to the next steps of our development process.

We will continue to make announcements when we have legitimate news and as we learned from our launch delays, it is better if we don't put out specific dates at this time because we can't predict all of the possible circumstances.

Thank you everyone for being patient and letting us do our thing.
