I get this error:

ERROR 699
Maximum number of harvesters allowed on server has been reached.

Does that mean no more harvesters allowed? for real?

Hi klintay, open path-to-nem/nis/config.properties and change the following:

# Maximum number of unlocked accounts. Meaning: maximum number of accounts that are allowed to use this NIS for harvesting
# Keep the value within a reasonable range, a too large value an cause problems for all harvesting accounts.
nis.unlockedLimit = X

i.e.
nis.unlockedLimit = 3

Changing the port, i become this error:

ERROR 305

The NEM Infrastructure Server (NIS) is not available. Try to restart the NEM software. If you are using a remote NIS, check your configured host for typing errors or use another remote NIS.

as soon as i turn back to default port, nis turns available...

Well, this is because your NIS booted with the default port. Now you're trying to connect to a different port but nothing's there. If you want to boot NIS with a port other than default, you have to change the config file @ path-to-nem/nis/config.properties. You'll find nem.httpPort = 7890 and nem.httpsPort = 7891 in that file. Change the values. Then restart NIS and do the same you tried earlier: change the port in your NCC according to what you just specified.

BUT you probably wanted to change the port of NCC, did you? head over to path-to-nem/ncc/config.properties, change nem.httpPort = 8989 and nem.httpsPort = 9090 to the port(s) you wish to use & reboot the NEM software.

OR to simply restrict outside access to port 8989, do as amytheplanarshift suggested above, block the port.

Thank you for your very good description.

I had blocked port 8989 now! Due i want be sure, i need to change the port 7890 too. I had changed the port 7890 and 7891 in nis - config file as described to something similiar to 6555 and 6556.
I had restarted router, client, and pc, changed the client port setting, but as soon as i change the port into client, nis does not working anymore! As soon as i switch back to port 7890 (in NEM client), NIS retourns to work. But i have changed already the config file with wordpad.. What is the problem?

By the way is this your rich list?

Seems like a poor distribution to me, lots of whales.

https://forum.ournem.com/general-discussion/nem-rich-list/msg15667/#new

You got too much time on your hands.  Looks like you just copy and pasted what was on that thread and removed the parentheses.   Roll Eyes

So there aren't a lot of whales?
NEM has no whales.

Not true. While no whales may have been generated by distribution, anyone could have bought well over 5% of the total NEM supply on Poloniex during the last trading week. There could easily be just a couple of whales with the majority of NEM on Poloniex manipulating the entire order book for all we know.

50-100 BTC is all it takes to manipulate any crypto market of this size. Given the current prices, that's really not that much money to be a "whale".

Not true.

Not true.  There hasn't been enough sells at current prices to make that anywhere remotely possible.  For somebody to get 5% of NEM (450 million) they would have to send the price skyrocketing.

I actually hated NEM front he start, Utopian guy was an idiot. he was spouting Communism so why as a Libertarian respect or believe in this coin?

Utopian's legacy is irrelevant now. Anyway, it never was about Communism, it was about earning more money personally to him. You just don't know what happened right before NEM's "call for participation".

Maybe so but this coin was raised under the banner of some kind of utopian egalitarian ideals, that's on record.

Still this coin is still pushing the idea of an equal distribution, anyone with a brain knows in crypto that is an oxymoron if you only got a few thousand people involved.

You seem to confuse the concept of egalitarian and equal distribution with a planetary relief fund.  XEM is not a substitution for welfare regimes.  XEM was built with intent of powering and securing the NEM platform.  XEM was equally distributed and is an egalitarian cryptocurrency.

Seriously stop saying the word egalitarian. The distribution of this coin is pretty much the same as any other coin of the last 12 months which has been mainly crowdsales on exchanges. Anyone who wants to buy a lot of coins can do and had the opportunity through NXT assets which tends to be the NXT crowd anyway. Keep saying egalitarian and I will keep calling you stupid.

In fact if you want to compare then NEM has by far the worst case of centrally planned pot, so much it would make Ripple blush. So stop talking about fairness and then you wont be judged on it.

It is egalitarian and stop mentioning your GEMs' scam on this website.  It's hilarious you are trying to pump Gems on this thread when it is known they employed a bait and switch to swindle investors and its' market capitalization continues to drop like a stone (how much does a Lambo cost to ship to Israel?)

I didn't even mention the NXT AE assets which could have easily produced a couple of monster whales.

Bottom line is that NEM, like any other crypto, will end up having the majority of the coin circulation in the hands of a few, regardless of the initial distribution. It is how it has always been and always will be.

Wrong thread bud, this ain't NxT's thread.  I know CfB, after Svetlana left as he couldn't 'please her' (both sexually and beluga) is temporarily living on NEM's couch (thread) till the divorce proceedings conclude and that is where the confusion is.

BTW there wasn't enough NEMstakes sold to create whales (plural).
