I guess by now it is time to ask: When will we get our NEMs I can't wait to redeem my nemstake to nem coins. Why? Cause there are plenty of alt coins being released everyday and non of which is as interesting as NEM. It seems that the crypto community is kinda in hold for Ethereum, Maidsafe and NEM. It is not NEM release date that matters, but what really matters is what NEM will offer at and after the release day. I hope that the developers will surprise us with great new features that never seen before.

Whats the status of the issuance of assets? I had applied well before all the hacking attempts, but have yet to receive it.
Since redemption is very close we're most likely not going to issue any more assets. Can you at least clear the issuance for all those who applied for the hacking attempts and then stop?

any plans to have an online wallet as nodecoin ? thanks
Not to my knowledge no but nothing stops anyone from developing one Isn't actually or can't the NCC become an online wallet by implementing client side signing?! (...) An NIS would need to safely store the data on a file, thus needing to sit on the server. Unless the online wallet site sports a SSL certificate, it could lead to funds being stolen (for example). Every private key is yours to keep, but even downloading / uploading those are a potential hazard. NCC is the client part and that is what stores the wlt so it doesn't sit on a server but on the client. Even with remote NIS implementation your funds will be safe and sound I have no idea why people still prefer brainwallets but okay...we've been over this way too often already. As pat said, nis does not require access to your wallet (read: private keys). Beta will have an option to use remote NIS server. Wallet will stay on your machine. There is NO data inside the wallet, there are only (encrypted) keys. Your balance is tracked by the blockchain (as in any other crypto).

Although bitcoin has some serious problems, I think it's far from dead. In fact, from a usability standpoint, it has gained massive ground and was never better positioned. It would be interesting to see how things will look at the end of the year. The name bitcoin is very easy to understand, too. It sounds like digital money, which it is.

How much are you willing to put on that bet? I can find an escrow and you can put your money where your mouth is, if you're that sure. I'll gladly bet against you. So what say you?

I would say that Fractional reserve works when there is plenty of oil and rescources to exploit and there is plenty of room for a growing economy as was the situation for hundreds of years except for the fact that banks were rewarded far ,far too much. But you are absolutely right that it doesnt work when economies have topped out as is the case now. Probably main reason for slowdown now is the Energy Received for Energy Invested ratio is on its way down. This causes Governments to borrow until the debt strangles the economy.

www.iotatoken.com https://twitter.com/iotatokenIota is a brand new and novel micro-transaction cryptotoken optimized for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Unlike the complex and heavy blockchains of Bitcoin and the like, which were designed with other uses in mind, Iota is created to be as lightweight as possible, hence the name "Iota" with emphasis on the ‘IoT’ part.

Fractional reserve just creates fake rich people. Lots of people walking around with fancy but fake numbers for bank account totals. Then it falls apart and people realize they don't actually have nearly as much as they thought. The vacuum void of the fractional reserve swallowed it into the nowhere, which is ironically where it came from in the first place.
