Maybe, Gavin can discuss the advantages of a DIA (Distributed Intelligent Agency) funded by BitCoin.  Grin

sure. along with p2p DNS, BitCoins make WAY easier supplying agents networks as well to communicate with them.
no need to carry stockpiles of diamonds/gold/drugs over half-Globe  to keep intel gatherers fueled financially, ie, tremendous financial efficency boost Tongue
but more likely they interested in using/exploitin BitCoin horsepower for their chiper-related needs or[even more likely]try to evalute level of therat to present US-used cryptosystems.

I'm just quiet because I've been busy being jet-lagged and sightseeing in Paris.

How often do you get the chance to work on a potentially world-changing project?

well that makes no sense because he could have used the matter transporter to get to paris, and back, and wouldn't be jet-lagged.

I'm thinking it's time-lag from the time machine. It's not June yet so OUR Gavin hasn't even visited the CIA. This impostor must be from the future!

Vouts to Gavin for playing spokesperson.  I find his politics too American-mainstream, but this very quality probably lets him keep a straight face while speaking to the establishment in its language.  I only hope he manages a smooth succession when he gets tired of his technical leadership role.

Can a change to the best-chain criteria protect against 51% to 90+% attacks without a hard fork?

I third that one and wonder aloud if he's keeping it secret to avoid creating sharp fluctuations in the market as that date nears.

June 14th at CIA HQ, Langley Virginia.  It is not open to the public, conference is for the US intelligence community only.
