Mine at Jonny's Pool

So I need some help here peoples. I do fly in fly out work with a 3 week on roster. So im going to be away from home when the miners arrive. My girl is home but is absolutely computer illiterate. I have setup the power supply ready for when they arrive with labelling for which cables go where so she can just plug them in. But as far as setting it up goes would i be able to setup the miners remotely with teamviewer with another computer set up at home? Reading about the S1 seems the internet has to be disconnected and then connect the compter directly to the miner. Is this true with the s3 do you think? Does anyone have any ideas how I could set up the miners remotely? Thanks To answer your question would require a bit of knowledge about your home's network. Are you running a 192.168.1.* system, or are you using something else? I am guessing (and this is going on Bitmain's usage of that network in the S1 and S2) that the S3 will follow the same pattern and use that type of address. Assuming that Bitmain continues to use the 192.168.1.* addresses, and your home network is on that same network, then using Teamviewer to setup the miners remotely shouldn't be a big deal at all. My home network uses 192.168.2.* Is that configurable? Could I just change the router to assign the DHCP setting to 192.168.1.*? Absolutely. Changing your network is usually pretty easy to do in your router's config.

Hello everyone,
When we were doing the first mass production, we found that not all of the S3’s DC/DC module could be stable enough to support the 478GH/s speed. After long time testing, all of the S3 run stably at 441GH/s, which however is 7.7% less than the 478GH/s we have announced.
So we decide the final specification of ANTMINER S3 here:
Hash Rate: 441 GH/s or more Power Consumption: about 340 Watt at the wall when running at 441GH/s Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall Power Supply: 12V DC Size: 331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C Complied with: FCC / CE Network Connection: Ethernet
Many of the customers may be lucky to find that their S3 can be overclocked to 478GH/s.
We apologize for this incident. We offer two options for customers:
1) 10.0% worth of coupon for the B1~B3 customers. This is the default option. (10% based on what you have paid for the B1~B3) 2) 7.7% worth of refund. We will release a function on our official website for application of this option. If you have bought from our resellers, please contact them and provide your Bitcoin address.
Shipping schedule updated:
Batch 1: The shipping will be finished in 14th and 17th. Batch 2: It will be shipping out between 18th and 19th. Batch 3: It will be shipping out between 19th and 22nd.
Ahh okay, sweet. I am gonna take la "refund"

Patience, grasshopper It's a beautiful day today. I'm on my deck enjoying a beer and a cig while my S1s, that have already paid for themselves, continue hashing along still making money. Am I the only one waiting for the dust to settle?

Show your girl how to handle making the changes to the router in the off chance that the S3s come with a different address range. This way, you can call her from the road and walk her through the process should it be necessary. My guess is that Bitmain will stick with the 192.168.1.* range. Also, make sure you have statically assigned IPs for your current miners so there isn't a conflict. Do something like 192.168.1.201-210 depending on how may miners you currently have hashing away.

Check with bitmain via their support email. Also you can guide you girl to do that for your if you can arrange a laptop or another system and a webcam. Or even via a phone's video calling.

I can confirm shipping. I'm running out the door, so I don't have time to take and mod a screenshot, but my.ups tells me that my B1 S3s should be here(west coast USA) on Thursday. my.ups is telling me that the order is ready for pickup, so it might end up being Friday.
In the past, when bitmain has been particularly swamped, the shipped notification on the website has been a little bit slower to update.

I have a second minute batch 1 order and I haven´t received tracking yet, so I doubt they have shipped in quantity yet.
However, it does take some time to update all the tracking info, so I might be wrong.
Does it only show shipping on myups? That could also mean that they just printed the label.....

Does anyone else realize it is 11:00pm in China right now.. nothing is moving at the moment.
Maybe. I know that the last few shipments I've received from Bitmain were almost always picked up around 11PM China time. YMMV.
