I run 3 s3 miners at stock and they are all coming in at 39-40°. The room they are in is constantly 24-26°+ depending on time of day.

I do have a fan on them, to move the heat they give off away from the area quickly.

Hello, someone can answer to my question:
Is it possibile to use one power supply for 2/3 antminer s3 ?

Is it needed to make something with the ground  12volt ?

Have i to connect the cases of the miners togheter ?

Thanks Junkbarman, I think my miners will be running around 50 with the heat in the room. I read in the manual that the miners will shut of off at 80, so here's hoping that 80 is the max temp and I shouldn't be hitting that!!

At default speed EVGA1300 will handle 3 S3 with ease, even 4 possibly at the 212.5mhz setting (see post by philipma; possibly giving you 425-435GH).
At overclock, EVGA1300 is OK for 2 for sure, but maybe 3 (if at 237.5mhz, but NOT 250Mhz).
EVGA has 6 cables, but eight PCI-E connectors (two are split cables).
I am not sure what to you mean connect cases?. YOu just stick PCI-E connector to the port on the top of the miner until it clicks. NO parallel connection! This means that you should NOT connect PCIE from two different PSU to the same board (one side=one board).

Do you guys think anyone would invest in me having a couple miners in my dorm? I don't pay electricity and I have some extra space. How would I look for a miner?

its not like we dont want, but its too risky
while we dont know who you are...
and can we trust you or not...
that kind of questions...

so, if we're going to host in ur place, we should have something to hold on to..
like ur reputation... or something like that...
its kind of difficult to host in ur place while we dont know who you're sir...

People who say anything about not meeting ROI are ignorant. How can you comment on ROI when you have no idea what the cost of bitcoin will be next week, next month, etc.

Terrible way to look at anything.  Just because you don't know things to certain doesn't mean you should be analytical and use the best data available to make a thoughtful decision.

Dont mistake not knowing everything with not knowing anything.

You'll still need to connect the paperclip, yes.  I believe Minersource has a "Jumpstart" kit that has a toggle switch, but you would have to decide if that's a better way.

if you don't want to bother with paper clip or a similar wire, order jumper for $5 or check radioshack if they have it.
http://minersource.net/products/psu-jump-starter

however, this (jumper) is really easy to do
you don't even have to use the paper clip. I use multithreaded wire with isolation, then cut off appropriate length so if forms a loop (2"-3"), then remove isolation on ~1cm/half in on each side, try to fit into the hole, then clip off some threads if it does not fit until it does, push it in as prescribed on S1 and S3 setup threads-voila!

If you post a pic of yourself, please write your username on a piece of paper and hold this. Otherwise hardly anyone will believe you.

mpark the proper way to factor ROI on any miner actually doesn't involve the conversion price of BTC to some other random currency.  If you pay XBTC for a miner and in it's life it generates >X (plus costs) then the miner profited.  If you buy a miner for 1BTC when it's at say $500 and it makes .5BTC but the coin doubles to $1k have you broken even?  If you believe you have you are allowing yourself to be blinded.

I only have a signature because I'm allowed.
