I told you I figured it out by studying the available patterns in the oem guide.
the jumps provided are 6.25 or 12.50
so a chart was made
256.25 250.00 243.75 237.5 231.25 225 218.75 212.5
the key to figure this out is to see how the hex code moves with the provided freqs then try what should work in the newer numbers.
the hex code for 212.5 is 1086 provided
the hex code for 218.75 is 1106 so a jump of 6.25 jumped code 0020
so i looked for a freq that ended in 86 and 237.5 the code was 1286 so add 6.25 get 243.75 jump the 1286 to 1306
so I figured the 243.75 as 1306 the timeout was a guess as to use 16 or 17.
this is how I got
freq 243.75 and code 1306 and time out 16 now I had 1 extra working config
now look at more patterns
Thank you for elaborating on the process. This is what I needed to understand it.

Dear Community, Our truly apologies for the mis-understanding reported in this Support Thread. We are very willing to share the cgminer code to the Community. Just reviewed our internal resource again, there is a little mis-communicaton between Customer Service Team and R&D Department. We thought this task was done 3 weeks ago.. However, R&D Department is repacking the cgminer code and will upload it to GitHub.com in 3 hours. Any advice from the Community and Global Customers is appreciated, feel free to contact us via PM or info@bitmaintech.com. Thank you! Cgminer 3.12.0 has been uploaded, https://github.com/bitmaintech/cgminer. The latest version will be updated in 2 weeks.

If so when n where n how do I find it? Good work guys!

I've just seen that there is some free miner management software out there. Is anybody here using such a management software to manage a couple of S3s, which software and what's the experience? Minera looks interesting, running an own Raspberry PI just for the management software or install onto a regular computer running Linux? Is there any catch with that software?

Cool. But PLEASE - provide us also with new S2 (not only S3 since this is S3's thread...) firmware containing this new Cgminer version. Big thanx in advance!

A belated thank you Bitmain - but as mentioned, uploading the code using outdated software with huge security holes is not the wisest solution. Please ensure that all repos (S1, S2, & S3(+)) contain the latest cgminer software that fix the security vulnerabilities - this is very important for both the miner & the network! Thank you for listening to the community.

So is cgminer 3.12 something we should be swapping in or?
should we expect a firmware to do this?
Thanks

This is the version that already comes with your S3. People have been demanding that Bitmain release the source code for their version of cgminer to satisfy the GPLv3 licensing in place. Now that the source has been released, I imagine Kano will likely be compiling Bitmain's specific changes into the latest version of cgminer and release an S3 binary (like he did for the S1/S2). When that happens, then you'll have to do some work to get it installed on your miner(s). Of course, Bitmain could actually upgrade their own version of cgminer to the latest instead of using the ancient 3.x version they currently do, and supply it as part of a firmware update. Then they could put their code on the mainline cgminer github and ask for a pull request. That would be the ideal solution.

EXACTLY. There are many noobs getting into mining these days who don't know how to do the basic stuff, let alone upgrade firmware etc. It is Bitmains duty to ensure that these users can plugin & mine, as Bitmain claim the units are, knowing that their units are secure against exterior attack & stratum re-directs, as well as running the latest software to ensure optimum efficiency. This also applies to other mining hardware manufacturers, open source & transparency are the only way to go, any closed source software should be regarded as suspect - there is absolutely no reason or space for it in the BTC mining world.

Just use uk1.ghash.io:3333 in the miner config page. Make sure all 3 pools are filled in complete. If I was you I would set Nicehash as the first pool as they are offering .032btc/thash today. Just set a p=.0252 to block any lower payments to drop back to ghash or other. Nicehash is fast and good pool. ghash will make you a guaranteed amount but nicehash can earn you a premium. https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs4 Worstcase you earn a little extra if they have orders to be done. S3 has no issues working with them perfectly. No luck to worry about and making more than any other big pool could pay. Otherwise you will need ot find a small pool and hope for luck. Otherwise use bitminter or other as solid standby.
