" It has been established and is almost not arguable that a single S3+ cannot ROI by itself. " So your solution is to buy MORE, I'd like to see you math ?!!!! Bob

I've calculated... The B8 price is not low enough for ROI in some hosting services.

that's easy just over clock your miner to 225mhz it takes 30 seconds
anybody here tried S3 to work in 225mhz to work in 453GH/s? [/quote] I've been running my S3 at 237.5 for days and the ave hash rate is 479.49 in last 24 hours, it went down for some reason for a few minutes was beeping, but that was after a couple days at that frequency. its been 24 hours and solid at that hash rate.

Downsizing my mining operation a bit, anyone here interested in buying a Corsair 1200i Platinum Psu? Only about 3 months old and I have all the original packaging and cables. It can easily run 3 antminers. 0.5 Btc including shipping to any US address. PM if interested.

Is this thing unbrickable? And is overclocking just that you have to select another already made profile?

Just a PSA/FYI: Newegg Lies about Bitcoin Returns w/Proof 1. Before I made a purchase with newegg I inquited about their return policy regarding bitcoin. I asked a customer service rep. if i happened to return the item would the refund be issued in BTC or USD. 2. The rep told be the refund would be issued in bitcoin (see screen shot) 3. The refund was issued as a newegg giftcard!!! And after multiple phone calls newegg has refused to issue a refund in either USD or BTC. 4. Beware of newegg and their misinformed reps!

They will ROI within 2.5 months as long as you ordered enough of them to beat the curve.
Someone needs to work on their math skills, if one ant is unprofitable then 1000 of them will be as well as long as the cost of running them /ant stays the same.

re: newegg they should setup the reverse transaction capability on bitpay or coinbase. However, some people might arbitrage it, hence the possibility of abuse. coinbase would also want its 1% for bitcoin buy (could be much less for a large merchant), so it it is somewhat tricky.

The only way any retailer will be able to afford a 30 day return policy on BTC transactions is if Coinbase adopts a new Merchant Service in which all BTC Contract Transactions are suspended at the time of purchase for 31 days and the FIAT/BTC Value is Guaranteed/Locked In, until the transaction is 32 days past initiation without dispute. Who is going to sell merchandise and wait 32 days for payment?

A lot of businesses do 30 day terms, including Newegg itself AFAIK. Even assuming they would need to borrow to cover it (which I doubt) at the current cost of credit this still beats credit card fees. Anyway, this is getting off topic but thanks to jpchrist for the heads up.

Who is going to sell merchandise and wait 32 days for payment? I don't think there should be any problem as long as amount of bitcoin returned depends on the market price. example-item costs $50 (BTC at $500), you pay $50-5=$45 or 0.09BTC which you instantly buy just before the purchase ($5 is discount for using BTC) To reverse, newegg has to buy BTC, which is now at $1000, so they buy $45 worth (plus whatever coinbase fee)=0.045 BTC and send it to your coinbase/bitpay wallet. Should not make any difference to you or newegg. Of course, if you paid 0.09 BTC and you expect the same number of btc, regardless of the fact that price doubled, it could not work AT ALL as far as rebates are concerned.

What was your wattage on EVGA1300 per S3 when running at 250mhz. I wonder if I have enough power to bump all three to 250mhz.
