L1 is probably for LTC, which I don't really care about. Bitmain confirmed in another thread that they are testing S4 (which is s2 with s3 undervolted chips, I believe). A month ago it would have made bigger difference, but we shall see. I hope for 2TH, but if they stay with the same PSU (not 1300W), then 1.7-1.8Th is probably more realistic.

Actually, I am very interested in the L1 if it runs like the BTC brother (AKA standalone) I have had enough of configuring different miners on different builds of CG/BFG, and no, I dont consider Zen to be the same, I want to have full control of my miners.

Can anyone tell me if fan spinning at 3000rmp is faulty? Few other ants fan spins at 1700 and only one is spinning at 3000rpm. Hashing stable with no issues.
room is air conditioned so ambient temp is low.

Some later version of S3 Fan rpm is high, I contacted bitmain and they said its normal.

Since day 1, my fans have been spinning at 11760, 15300, 7200 and 9900 or thereabouts but no biggie . Knowing that they're spinning and seem to change RPM (audibly) from time to time (presumably adjusting to the relative changes in ambient room temperature) is good enough for me. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg8471571#msg8471571

"Scrypt mining world" has been raped and pillaged already. I doubt there is much left for Bitmain to do.

I have purchased a new S3 and Corsair CX600 psu. I set everything up and when I connected the PCI-E connectors to the S3 the psu quit working. I was able to reset it and tested it and it ran o.k. but as soon as I connected it to the S3 it stopped again. I do not get any lights on the miner. I am unable to connect to to the web setup presumably because the S3 is not getting any power. I will appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks.
