Hello everyone! This is Samuel, the new Public Relations specialist for Cognitive.
Many of you have expressed frustration at the lack of communication between the company and its shareholders. My job is to change that. From now on you can expect frequent updates about what is currently going on with Cognitive. Additionally, I will be here to answer questions and relay messages to Garrett.
Garrett will continue to be active on the forum, but he will be devoting more of his time and energy to managing the company's backend.
I'm excited to begin work for Cognitive, and look foreword to communicating with you all in the future.

You just said that, but yeah I can understand the impatience. These guys have been waiting a long while, especially f1. Hopefully they get converted immediately.

Both f1 and f2 will be converted to COG and start paying dividends when the remainder of the hardware arrives around the middle of next week.

Hi. Care to share more about yourself? Now you are just a fresh account with the same name as the labcoin rep... Do you live close to garret? Did you ever meet him? Will you? Are you a cognitive shareholder? I assume you get paid with part of the management cut. When will we get the financial report starting from october? Could we organize an irc q&a?

Your inquiry is quite understandable, so here are your answers: I am currently a freshman at Montana State University studying engineering. I'm from Hamilton, MT. I met Garrett here at MSU. We both live in the same dorm, and over the past few months we have become good friends. Garrett sparked my interest in bitcoin, and I recently became a shareholder. Separately, I have been doing the PR and marketing for a startup website my roommate founded called uPin. Garrett saw some of the stuff I was doing and liked it, so he hired me to do the PR for Cognitive. As payment, Garrett has agreed to give me 100 shares of equity in COG. Garrett intends to raise a motion soon regarding this agreement, but he needed me to start work right away. If the motion to award me 100 shares fails, Garrett will pay me with his own shares. Garrett and I both believe that compensating me with equity is more beneficial for the company, because it provides me with a strong incentive to work hard and make Cognitive more successful. If you have any more questions, comments, or concerns feel free to let me know. Thanks, Samuel

Here's an update on the progress of the new hardware:
Garrett has spent the entire day configuring the new units. On average, he has been bringing a new unit online every hour, and he has one more left tonight.
2 of the machines aren't working properly, so he plans to call CoinTerra tomorrow morning to try and get them fixed.
I will continue to keep you all updated!

The following things are still of critical importance IMO: 1. Ensure that the new address where all COG funds are stored will be verifiable and contains *all* the expected "reinvestment" funds (so it should have 50% of all divs since the time of the last CT order, right?) 2. Ensure that all of our hardware is using a visible pool like eligius, against the same address, and has backup pools should eligius go down, for best uptime 3. Ensure that the pools we use, along with their deposit address, are all documented ON THE WEBSITE (for BTC and scrypt miners) (we can't be digging through this entire thread to get critical info like our current hashrate, payout address, etc)
Once all of these are done, the "present" is taken care of, and there can be no question about stolen funds moving forward, the only questions are about the past. To clear those up, we'd like to see the following:
1. The long-promised financial report. How much did our CT order cost exactly? What money came in/out last year? 2. What payout address was in use during the infamous "missing div" period? Was the discrepancy due to your error, the pool's error, bad luck, or something else? Any answer is better than no answer.
Finally, after that in priority, it'd be nice to have a discussion about next steps. 1. Tell us more about this PR person 2. What does our reinvestment fund look like? Are we still in talks with CT? Will we be placing another order soon? How are the scrypt machines doing, is their return making that look like a better plan than more ASIC based hardware? (imma guess "probably not", but worth considering)
Welcome aboard Samuel. As you can see tensions are high here and you will have your work cut out for you if you are to assuage the heat currently on cognitive. The PR job will be a tough one. However the solution is clear and relatively simple. The beauty of Bitcoin is it is possible to prove everything on the blockchain, so the answer to all your problems is this: 'FULL FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY FOR ALL ACTIONS PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE' if you can find a way to do this in a clear open manner the majority of your problems will be over, and shareholders on your side. When confidence returns the shareprice will rise. Good luck and all the best. May you, in the process of achieving the job laid out for you, restore the good name of Samuel. It has been 'a bit' tarnished here in Bitcoinland. Hopefully with good actions you will become to be known as Samuel 'Blanc'.

I wouldn't be surprised if its is the same person TBH. You know, AA did successfully scam this retarded forum at least 3 or 4 times. Perhaps this is the 5th.

Lunarboy, thank you for the advice. Absolutely, my priority is transparency. I will always do my best to relay information as clearly, accurately, and as often as possible. More info to come in a few hours. Thanks for the support, Samuel

I would like to see photos of all this hardware we have. Esp the scrypt stuff.
After photos we need a list of everything and then where it is mining.
Also a list of addresses so we can see if what we are mining is close to the theoretical.
This is just the basic basic stuff that needs to be done in the next few days.
This could be done in 30-60mins
