obviously banksy is not artsy !
so it had to die.

I hate to say it, but I agree.  Wallet doesn't work and it looks like nothing is being done..  Another bag to hold!!

what 's wrong with the wallet ?
you might just have thousands of stakes clogging it up - if this is true you just need to send to a new address. best case is then also to get rid of old one.

1. backup wallet.dat

2. boot up the banksy wallet with a new clean wallet.dat - either move or rename the prior wallet.dat

3. get a new address from new clean wallet (i always keep a copy of the privkey too)

4. shut down. juggle the wallet.dats to yr original one (with all the coins)

5. send coins to yr new address. i generally do it in bunches (not in one big amount) to help with staking.

6. wait til all transactions have at least one confirm, this makes sure the tx are out in the blockchain.

7. shut down. juggle the wallet.dats to the new one

8. start. and yr coins should appear.


.. the old wallet should now be empty. so you can bin it

I'm getting a checkpoint too old error in the wallet.

i believe that's an ok error ;p

it seems to refer to the fact that the hard-coded checkpoints are very old. and it would be good to get some new ones
how likely is that ??

Great news on the wallet!

I have downloaded it and the blockchain is syncing with the net work now.

Lucky I kept peers data an my other computer, downloaded this one and messed up and would not connect so had to copy the one from other computer now its fine.

this wallet is a joke it won't connect. says you have to add nodes manually. I can't find out where to do this. this I will stake another coin and sell off what I have of this one

tanx sorry for short question , but i mean how is the config called , is it banksycoin.conf or Banksycoin.conf because banksycoin.conf did not work forme , i tryed both and it worked but stopped at 8 days to go
