bringing up ideas we could use to promote the coin:

how about real art events like exhibitions and live auctions - maybe using bidcoind who accept banksycoin?

or something like local banksycoin meetup groups and partys in your town?

it is not just the internet and teh forums guys

For a few weeks now I have been unable to get the wallet to even connect, let alone sync. I have tried the following:

• delete the peers.dat file
• delete the entire appdata/roaming/Banksycoin folder (minus the wallet.dat)
• delete the entire appdata/roaming/Banksycoin folder (including the wallet.dat)
• node sniffing (pinging the addnodes, and commenting out the un-pingable ones)

I have these three addnodes:

addnode=66.85.133.206:36274
addnode=82.139.116.38:36274
addnode=188.226.187.182:36274

The only one of these that is pingable is 66.85.133.206, but even just having this particular node in the .conf file, the wallet won't connect.

Any ideas?

the only connection that works for me with v1.4.0.0-Banksycoin is:

82.221.100.157

it works perfectly fine, minting away happily...

Might I suggest creating a separate thread in the Auctions section? This way bids won't get mixed in with other posts but more importantly you will get more potential bidders.

The Banksycoin team will also double your offering so at 100K coins, we will add another 100K coins to the mix for the winner of the auction.

must be a problem with microsoft...
i have no issues on linux.
maybe your antivirus is giving false positive alarms.

some other users reported similar stuff for the older versions. but this is an ongoing issue with bitcoin code.

Thank you for your patience and persistence during these transitional times. We appreciate everyone's support.

Banksycoin is about to get a rebirth into a bigger and better entity. The plans for this coin are ambitious so they require some additional time for proper execution but we are now getting ready to start rolling out more news about the future.
