tried re- downloading/installing new wallet as per op advice wallet still didn't sync so I followed Torhammers list of steps and now it is downloading from the start but only catching up with 56000 blocks of transaction history, which can't be right as I remember that the current total no. of blocks is far higher than that getting increasingly worried as I have 1,902 btcd on my wallet presumably they're safe as I have a back-up of the wallet.dat file - in fact multiple back-ups on my hard drive and a memory stick (i did a back upo after every transaction) any further advice gratefully received thanks update: having started with 1 active connection the wallet is now showing 0 active connections to the network

Make the .conf file as per the previous posts. That should help you get it done quicker.

Aw hell he came in again, The kid who wants to sit and spin show us how you spit your sins bitcoindark pays dividends Jocking nuts never was so glorious We make just one out of e pluribus The many awake keep staking their coin of choice There's no mistake they take their cake, laugh and point at us Cause they saw it from the get go but they never gave no lip though they hate on Johnny Chimpo used to be slaves posing in the window bitcoindark freed us from shitty crypto

i found something interesting in the terms of cryptsy 28. Staking Interest
Some Cryptsy wallets may provide staking interest rewards. Any staking rewards, conversions, snapshots, or likewise will become the property of Cryptsy. the "mystery" is solved I suggest to do a mass withdraw from cryptsy and not using them but of course we are not able to... There is no telling how many coins they are staking per day. I will never use cryptsy again if I can help it, and I suggest everyone do the same. This is thievery, plain and simple. correct me if I am wrong.. but isn't any exchange that does btcd stand to benefit from staking???

Did anybody notice that the github user is "laowais"? This means "foreigners" or "aliens" in Chinese. Wondering if there's a separate git for Chinese users... BTW, usage is at least informal, possibly impolite/derogative. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laowai

Hmm, development seems to be really on a roll here.. 3 commits ever, no significant update since initial upload. What are you guys all talking about?

Answering myself: This is apparently the main repository: https://github.com/jl777/libjl777What is it for? How is this connected to SuperNET and BTCD? Has anybody ever went through this?

With all this talk about websites, I knocked one up a few days ago. It hasn't got all the bells and whistles so don't start screaming. It's online at http://bitcoindark.pw/Regards, figroll Hey figroll, can you update the URL for the multipool? I've registered the domain www.bitcoindark.ca which is now the multipool. The old URL will still work as well. Thanks!

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

That's why keeping your BTCD on any exchange is dumb. (Well, keeping any coin on any exchange for a longer period of time is dumb) So it is in the every exchanges interest to stall the withdrawals of it's users by as long as possible (-> Cryptsy).

Answering myself: This is apparently the main repository: https://github.com/jl777/libjl777What is it for? How is this connected to SuperNET and BTCD? Has anybody ever went through this? That is James' libjl777 code that is being currently developed and integrated into the BTCD core. The current btcd repo only has a few commits, as someone pointed out. This is because we are using separate repos for active development, and will update the official repo once the new wallet is done. If you think we haven't been making progress in development or are scamming somehow, just take a look over the libjl777 repo. You can see the functionality for teleport, tradebots, transporters, etc.
