Wait--what?  You can only get a refund if you bought SHA today or yesterday?  When did those go on sale?

I thought it was last week, was it just yesterday?

You can refund if they were bought at anytime.
Wrong.
And remember we talking about sha256, not for genesis hashlet

Genesis Hashlet IS the sha256 hashlet...clearly showing your expertise

And no, not wrong. I was going to get a refund and was asked if I wanted to proceed in the support email and I decided to keep mine.

Perhaps he's talking about S3s and other SHA256 "physical" miners.

Are you accusing the CEO of lying?

As I mentioned earlier most still think they are mining on the pools listed as the payouts...
Mr. CEO also is looking for another country to make a new datacenter...

New topic for today is:
What color should we make our new shashlets..

I love how this jcchipper dude claims KC6TTR " You obviously have formulated your own opinion " I guess jc has facts that the CEO does not mention? He (jc) had to eat his words on the refund and correct himself about the 24-48 hour refunds, why not a refund to ALL owners?

Nicehash and westhash are the best places to mining with your script ASIC or sha256 ASIC hardware miners. You get paid by the share and you get paid in BTC at least once a day depending on how much your Hashrate is.

Those pools are awesome.

Gaw's lost but I think gaw will come up with something to make up the difference...can we say zen256hash pool? Hehe!

The best thing was to buy the hashlets at $15.99 back in the beginning. If you would have loaded up with them back then you would be in a better position.

batch 2 VB's would be available 30 days or so after batch 1.

THIS IS VERY TRICKY WORDING. When will the VB1 become available is the question? I gave up on this company when they lied to people about 1: bringbackroi 2: stopped selling physical miners 3: sold most of us a Raspberry Pi that failed. Now this hashlet is VERY SCARY that Gavin had to question it (and cloud mining in general... his question was on a post about GAW or hashlet).

When they did sell physical miners I did praise them and thought they were a good company that cared for their customers, I would love to hear who did ROI from the promo BRINGBACKROI. I also thought many trading sites were good too and did learn a valuable lesson..

Some of us learn fast and so of us do not learn at all.

I have great respect for many on this forum that ask PROPER questions, suchmoon thank you for your post here and that you address issues that you see with this company.

The fact that they relied so much on nicehash bothers me. I don't think they'll be able to create an equivalent alternative to use for their own. Because, even nicehash wouldn't have been anything with the people putting orders for hashrate, let alone that I don't think GAW has the resources, time and people with enough knowledge to build something like that.

Anyone want to help me with the Anti-Gaw Campaign? I will start organizing it tonight, just message me!
I'm going to start with a blog and a bitcointalk signature campaign!
This is happening because of EvilPanda and BitGeek not shutting their mouths.

No

Well thats fine, I already got about 5 messages and I'm going to ask the multipool owners and GAW's competition if they want in on it too.
Thanks EvilPanda and BitGeek!

Social media would be a great way to expose their business practices. It was also fishy when they gained most of their customers from this site and decided to not use it anymore, I guess they have all the control on hashtalk and nothing is saved to be used legally in the future if needed..

I did this on another thread and I am quoting it here.

New edit:
I want to say that the bounty question was caused by my rush . Eric of zen mentioned to not post details here on bitcointalk. I had a miscommunication with him  and posted details my bad. Eric then said the would not pay the bounty.
Frankly talking on pm's at 1:00 am
was my mistake I was tired and misunderstood Eric.  Posting so fast was a mistake on my part.  I got a lot of people going in lots of directions over this.  I know I pissed off Eric and he said no bounty.  To defend him it was late at night I dropped a bombshell on him and spam filters caused a lot of people a lot of grief.
on the good side some real fixes are offered to this problem in the discussion on hashtalk.org so for now no nicehash but this idea below has promise

https://hashtalk.org/topic/5145/nicehash-sha256/737?page=39

since westhash/nicehash had rapid price flux someone proposed  a one month average I thought a diff jump length may be enough to fix it. cost of driving price up 10 or 11 days in a row would be more then enough and easier to detect.

the one thing that is odd to me is this

gawminers.com = http://gawminers.com/pages/faq = bottom of the page it says : Q: Where is your company located? = A: 34 E Dudley Town Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002
then if you go to http://oneminer.com/ = they say they are not part of gawminers but they are ran out of the same building ?
oneminer : http://oneminer.com/pages/faq = ONE MINER RMA DEPT 34 East Dudley Town Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002

but then on hashtalk : https://hashtalk.org/topic/673/oneminer-com
the CEO says they want to talk about the new project they have.

meanwhile on the : http://oneminer.com/pages/faq it says the following
Is GAWMiners.com affiliated with OneMiner.com?

They are not affiliated in any way. No deals can be transferred at any time between the two websites. GAWMiners.com store credit and rewards points are not valid on OneMiner.com and cannot be used toward any purchases at any time.

so what one is it ?
are you guys part of the same company ?
are you guys not part of the same company ?

that's quite normal. You can have different subsidiaries/sister companies. At the top, they are owned by the same person/group/etc, but for all legal matters they are different companies. Quite common I believe.
but yeah, Josh has contradicted himself a few times about what oneminer is/is not.

I think you are forgetting about their highly trained businessmen.  They eat average Joe pool owner for breakfast.

Joking aside, they do not need to recreate nicehash. They just need to find some way to offer decent payouts that have a chance in hell of ROI.  They can do that with Zenpool256 without needing to make anything other than a webpage and an algorithm of their own devising.

Back to mining BURST for me.  It pays out better than hashlets so far!

To be clear - this is not a 'flaw' in a pool (NiceHash/WestHash) that needs to be fixed. Its a 'flaw' in GAW's business model.

nicehash SHA-256 pool is working fine, and actually my real sha-256 rigs are pointed to it Wink

It was just GAWMiners that is not offering it anymore for its hashlets.

There is no bug and they just removed nicehash pool from hashlets, due to the fact it has high profitability on sha-256 now

Which proves that they aren't actually mining sha-256, which would also make sense that they're actually a ponzi scheme.

yes and no. it proves they are not mining in nicehash (which isnt correct anyway because it's not a pool) but it does not prove that they are a ponzi scheme. it may just mean that the hashpower is pointed to somewhere else.

EvilPanda, do you own any of the virtual miners?  Did you own one of the SHA miners that just doubled the length of time to ROI?  Do you understand why GAW customers on their own forums are concerned about this?

To ensure stability and reliability of this thread and in order to protect the investments of our posters it is highly advised to not engage certain individuals whose sole purpose is troll and to bait fellow trolls.

There is a couple on each side that just won't go away as long as we feed them... and I'm starting to think they are in some kind of collusion as I can't imagine any reasonable adult person being so utterly stupid.

But I know none of you will listen to me anyway so keep calm and carry on posting Smiley

I've been feeding the trolls!  >_<  I know, it's just so hard not to when they are so cute!

But with my "s3's" not being able to mine there is quite annoying!

You'd think they could at least keep up the appearance of "real" hardware their customers purchased and own. Ok, let's say the hashlets are somehow hardwired into "private pools", but the S3 can definitely be set up to mine on NiceHash with a reasonable "p=" value, problem solved.

BTW you can get a refund for the newly purchased Genesis hashlets, but you can't for S3, at least that's what I got skimming through that HT thread.

the statement from Josh was only to one person though. He did not make any announcements that anyone would receive a refund. Also, when bought through resellers, I don't know if  refund would be allowed

Okay Josh the  ceo   of zen-gaw and I had a long talk via pm.  He paid me 1.75btc .

0.75btc   was to repay the money I spent to figure the nicehash issue out.

1.0btc was a finders fee  for saving his company a possible huge financial  setback  if this was done after the large fri sha256 was done.

I wish I had been able to explain this easier and simpler and not cased the drama that has occurred.

But plain and simple  If I had figured out Mt Gox 1 week sooner and saved that day I would have.
If I figured out BIPs in advance and saved 1000 lost coins I would have.
If I had been able to do this for trade fortress I would have.

I also think in each case I would have pissed off a lot of people.  No matter had I did it.
I know that I pissed off people here was not my intent.  I still have an S-3 mining in the zen cloud and it will earn less.  I want to point out they stopped the problem and knowing them they will come up with a better idea.
I still feel like I walked up to them and said your left nut is bad it has to go.  Or if you arer a girl your left ovary is bad time to cut it out. the pain today is real but in the long run you will survive.
To their credit they did give me a bounty and did not fluff off the problem.  If they were MT Gox they would have run.

Josh thank you for being a stand up guy. Plus a man of your word.

I think that what you did was right and please stop worrying about the naysayers. I almost looks like you are starting every post on hashtalk with an apology Smiley. It's not your fault that the system was messed up, it's not your fault that someone took advantage of it, it's not your fault your e-mail got caught up in spam filters and let's face it, a lot of people in your position would have kept it to themselves and enjoyed the few more days of extra gains Smiley. I may not share your optimism about how GAW will handle this in the long run, but this doesn't change the fact that you did the right thing and it's great to have you in the forums.
