Not sure what coinbase has to do with it. Payouts are off chain, aren't they? If they use coinbase for the USD/BTC rate, they should have contingencies for this kind of situation.
I thought I read somewhere that payout code was refactored and would run in 10 minutes. Maybe that's not in production yet.
I was talking about the getting it from GAW to my wallet. That didn't work but is working now. Ah, ok. I think they said they'd start using their own Bitcoin daemon for payouts, not sure when though Message from Eric on Hashtalk: Hey guys, payouts will run soon. Remember, the time frame is between 7am and 12pm. Now that the process takes on average 10 minutes, this will be a substantial improvement over the past couple weeks. That was 19 minutes ago. So expect something soon Is it just me or is the payout time shifting? I thought it was noon UTC, not noon EST. I just did a double-check on Hashtalk. It is noon UTC that payouts are supposed to start (8AM EST). Since they only take ~10-15 minutes to calculate now, then they are definitely late. If this is going to be changed again, then it should be in a formal announcement. Eric appears to just be wrong. I wonder if GAW still has the same payout calculation problems and just decided to not display the work until it is completed. It would certainly explain their inability to adhere to their own schedule and their need for a large window.

That was my understanding based on Josh's post. Primes will be $25/1Mh/40GH. Anyone who paid more, will receive a credit. He did not specify if this will be a BTC credit to the account, or store credit.

Yeah Josh has stated this here: https://hashtalk.org/topic/7469/hashlet-prime-pricing-change-sha-and-batch-2'But, I am happy to announce that SHA-256 on Primes is coming! By the end of next week, all Hashlet Primes will be able to mine 40GHs of SHA-256' So primes are your best investment when they go to $25

Yeah I was thinking of selling my Genesis to get Primes but I'm thinking maybe Genesis will get something in the future otherwise they will become obsolete + I like to spread the risk thats why i bought some of everything.

https://hashtalk.org/topic/7660/banningOut of thousands of users, less then a dozen have been banned. In almost all cases, they were warned. Often times more then once. So that's how many, 11 at most? I'm having trouble believing that, unless he meant "per day"

I guess people are not hating on GAW as much as you would like them to. And If banned individuals really wants to fuck with GAW they can create multiple account and go back to trolling or whatever.

I can readily think of five people that were banned in a period of less than 48 hours on hashtalk (myself included). I was banned without warning and for unknown reasons.
Josh later revoked the ban, but it certainly seems as if the resellers who act as mods, at one point at least, were free to ban anyone they wanted with no reason or warning required.
Maybe that is half of the total bans. Maybe.

I'm having trouble believing that, unless he meant "per day" He might mean they have banned less then 12 but the community might have banned more with down vote system. Possibly. Still sounds very low to me but I can't verify that. A statement of fact like that could have been more specific though. What would they want to ban people so much? I guess people are not hating on GAW as much as you would like them to. And If banned individuals really wants to fuck with GAW they can create multiple account and go back to trolling or whatever.
I think you're missing the point here. I don't want them to ban more or less, whatever they think is necessary doesn't make any difference for me. It's the possibility that the CEO might be lying on such a trivial subject is what caught my eye. I visit HT occasionally, maybe once per day on average, and almost inevitably there is some fresh drama about someone having been banned. But as tomcat mentioned above, maybe most of those are community bans. And what's with the hate comments, are you implying that only "haters" get banned, or what? I just read today that Daffy - quite well known on HT - has been banned. 3k votes, so not a community ban. Must have fooled as all, secret hater as it turns out. Ok, back to the future it is. TBH I don't quite grasp what the difference really is between that long post, and just saying "we'll make it the way it was before". https://hashtalk.org/topic/7710/hashlet-prime-alterative-proposalConsider the following
We can revamp the way Hashlet Solos work We’ve learned that you don’t want your Primes to be made for new users. You want Primes to continue being the advanced Hashlets that experienced miners use and you want those features to come. So instead of nerfing our plans for them, we can change the way Solos work to fill in the gap for mainstream customers. Nothing would change for existing Solo owners, in fact we could make them and, and it would help new Solo customers. It’d be pretty cool actually. I’ll make that announcement soon, if you guys like the rest of the ideas below..
Keep the price of Primes at $50 The main concern around yesterday’s announcement was about price. Hashlet Prime is a premium product - it should be priced as such. You guys don’t want credit. You want Primes to continue being as premium as they are at the $50 price. eg. I was developing a feature that would let a Prime mine two pools at once at the same speed! :grinning:
Return our advanced plans for Primes Now that Solos will take over for introducing new miners to Hashlet, we can carry on with making Primes as powerful and advanced as we planned when we increased the price to $50. This is what I’m most excited about with these changes : )
The “buy back” price will remain the same If we increase the price of primes, then the option to use our “Guaranteed Buy Back” option at the higher price is back too. This would bring bring back the value to all you portfolios.
Temporary Refunds We know that some of our new users bought into Primes before they knew about other options. Primes are and will remain the most powerful Hashlets ever, but we don’t want anyone to stay with an investment they don’t understand. So for you, we’re offering a one-time full credit refund to any Prime owner. If you want, for a limited time you’ll have the option to put your Prime on the market and get back what you paid, minus what you mined. It’s a way of backing out if you want.
Give all VB Batch 2 The Option to Upgrade Batch 2 customers will have the option to temporarily use of our A2 farm equal to the hash power they bought. Or they can convert to Hashlets Primes at a 1:1 ratio. We want you to have the same upgrade path we gave Batch 1 owners.

Good lord. I don't even know what to think anymore about all this nonsense.
I guess that makes one thing clear, no one will ever buy a Prime again. Anyone trying to sell one on the market place is done. If ROI is virtually impossible at $25, it really really is impossible at $50. Welcome to a 2+ year long on BTC in order to break even on your virtual mining unit.
Someone should start a bet on one of the sites to see which would happen first, ROI on a $50 Prime purchased tomorrow (or whenever Plan #2 goes into effect) or GAW going bankrupt/out of business/Josh arrested.
edit: Wait, so if they mine two pools at once then this is just a $25 Prime, but it now comes in an inseparable twin pack of which only one mines Zenpool.
What is that about buying back Primes? Is that really in perpetuity? So if you buy a Prime from GAW, then will refund your original purchase price less any mining, at any time? But that still means you have a very low chance to ROI at this price and place. No doubt that will sucker some into buying and then figuring they can get out whenever they want.

It says temporary, I take it to mean it will be a limited time option via one of those stupid google forms or whatever they use now for the you-have-to-lurk-on-hashtalk-to-know-about-it offers.

Not sure it's just my account or if anyone else has experienced this problem.
I logged in my account this morning and found out that the account balance became negative, so out of curiosity I went to check my balance history and noticed that the payout for the last 24 hours has actually been paid. But if it's been paid, but apparently the value was not added into my account balance and the payout was lost somewhere.
Did this happen to any of you guys?

I'm getting really tired of this "hey, we've just revamped the hashlets for the next 20 minutes after our last complete redrawing that was 40 minutes ago" shit.
