great work griffith!
new wallet is easy to compile with ubuntu - no problems so far.

could you take a look on the openSSL "bug" - could this be a problem for ECCoin (self compiled @ linux)?

i will look at that thread tomorrow. thanks for letting me know.

on another note. looks like someone dumped 50 mil ECC today on allcoin. that was a big mistake. i have a big announcement that i will make within a few days that should cause some upward price movement. so stay tuned for that

edit: SSL 1.0.1p? ssl is on version 1.0.2... odd thing to warn about

edit edit: that thread is a month old. they patched that bug in 1.01L. i am currently using 1.0.1L so we should be fine

thanks for looking at...
the problem pops up in some threads the last weeks. some of the devs patched their sources. i did not now that it was patched from openSSL side.

i try. im currently fixing the problem with the incredibly long wallet load times. i am updating the code base for the whole coin. wont be a mandatory upgrade or anything (i dont think). but it will be 2.4

after that i am going to look at what the new 0.10.0 bitcoin-core source did with syncing the chains using header-first sync. to see if i could possibly utilize that developement.

Great stuff !  The splash screen on loadup is one of the longest of any coin I own, but I understand it has not been an essential upgrade.

it doesnt look like your transaction is on the block chain. can you PM me with
1. your wallet version:
2. your current block:
3. who your peer is? (do this by doing to debug>console window> type getpeerinfo into the box at the bottom):

EDIT: on another note: the new ecc source code finally hit a point where it would compile today, just gotta do a bunch of debugging and i might have just solved a larger amount of load time issues

i was able to help rikkie see the error with his wallet.

once again: if you are not on wallet version 2.3 please upgrade to it. rikkie was on 1.1 and that wont even connect to the blockchain anymore. i have since changed the protocol for it. so please make sure your wallets are updated

Griffith,

I'm downloading the new wallet version 2.3.00.
The blocks are coming in very fast.
Seems to be working very good.
My first coins from about a year ago are already in my balance.

Thanks for the help.

today I get a warning in the actual (2.3.0.0) windows wallet: "checkpoint is too old. wait for block chain, or notify your great developer team". I see todays staking on the blockchain, so everything seems ok from that point of view.
My linux wallet does not give me this message - both seems to be on the same block.

And I have a "feature" with my main wallet since a few weeks.
I have more funds on the blockchain, as in the wallet itself.
I did a repairwallet and tried a -rescan too - without any luck.

If I were you, I'd try to dump privkey and import it into fresh wallet.dat.
