oh you silly sheep. you have the windows lines uncommented. go into your .pro and find these lines

BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=-mgw49-mt-s-1_55
BOOST_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/boost_1_55_0
BOOST_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/boost_1_55_0/stage/lib
BDB_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/db-4.8.30.NC/build_unix
BDB_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/db-4.8.30.NC/build_unix
OPENSSL_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/openssl-1.0.1h/include
OPENSSL_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/openssl-1.0.1h
MINIUPNPC_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/
MINIUPNPC_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/miniupnpc
QRENCODE_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/qrencode-3.4.3
QRENCODE_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/qrencode-3.4.3/.libs

comment them out. meaning add a # in front of all of them so it looks like this.

#BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX=-mgw49-mt-s-1_55
#BOOST_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/boost_1_55_0
#BOOST_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/boost_1_55_0/stage/lib
#BDB_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/db-4.8.30.NC/build_unix
#BDB_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/db-4.8.30.NC/build_unix
#OPENSSL_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/openssl-1.0.1h/include
#OPENSSL_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/openssl-1.0.1h
#MINIUPNPC_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/
#MINIUPNPC_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/miniupnpc
#QRENCODE_INCLUDE_PATH=C:/deps/qrencode-3.4.3
#QRENCODE_LIB_PATH=C:/deps/qrencode-3.4.3/.libs

that will fix the problem'

uncommented = building on windows. commented = building on linux

Shouldn't there be like an ifdef or something somewhere for this?

Could you consider doing a POD?
Not that you need it,but some people don't invest in a coin without a POD.

Several times I have seen mention to this Proof of Development, but never fully
understood the meaning.

On the practical side what it is, what it refers to?

FYI:
Went to trade ECCOIN on Comkort exchange and they had this message at the top.

Last block for ECC wallet has been seen 2 hours and 40 minutes ago. All operations for ECC disabled untill new block will be found.

 Cool

yeah. this happens. sometimes the blocks get spaced out hours apart. this is because it is trying to stake coins that are in wallets that people have offline (it is just how PoS works). so it takes a while for it to recycle to coins that are online that it can stake.

ALSO
if you are using windows and are getting a c++ runtime error after leaving the wallet open for a few hours, run as an admin and it goes away.

Proof of Development is a thing where the lead devs submit personal ID so that it is verified that they are the developer of the coin. like a drivers lisence or something since you can use anything as a screen name on here and have no way of proving two accounts belong to the same person.
i dont think there is a practical side to it. its mostly there for people to have someone to yell at if the coin price drops (in my opinion) but it can never be used to take any action against the person (nor should it be used to be) so i think its kinda pointless.

like i dont care if people know me. Im Griffith, im 19, and im a college student going for a masters in software engineering. but im not gunna send someone my drivers lisence or passport. i like to keep photos of my official documentation off the internet. in fact i like to keep most of my information of the internet besdies name and age and general non specific details because i dont want other people to impersonate me or steal my shit

sure the car didnt crash the tree didnt jump away when the car was coming.....

other and more important problem finaly synced and did go into mint mode nearly instant created 17 POS
blocks all in a few seconds all confirm block before and woops im in a fork again....

try to make sure there is more time between minting atempts
the pos diff is so low that.. attempts are generated  to fast
set a higher minimum pos difficulty

you wont create a fork doing that because the nodes will reject you as an unhealthy client and reject your blocks that would cause a fork. i had already taken care of that problem.
