okay guys. it seems i have been submitted for the Proof of Honor award. ( i saw it in the MWC thread) if you want to vote for someone you feel is a good dev (im not saying vote for me) then go to this thread and vote for them. (you cant vote for satoshi nakamoto, hes already won the first one XD) i will be voting for someone that isnt me ( i also think voting for yourself is wrong) anyway, link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855130.msg9514238#msg9514238Time Scale 1) Nominations: 11/11/2014 and last until 11/30/2014 2) Voting will begin on: 12/1/2014 and last until 12/28/2014 3) Winner Announcement: 1/10/2015 yeah. you need 15 nominations to be added to the voting. i think i have like 5 or 6

bump that goes on the top of the pile of possible ECC That was one of the top ones we chose originally. EC Coin was left as the 'name', because it sounds like 'Easy' as well as 'European Community', and Country coins were all the rage then.

bump that goes on the top of the pile of possible ECC That was one of the top ones we chose originally. EC Coin was left as the 'name', because it sounds like 'Easy' as well as 'European Community', and Country coins were all the rage then. I didn't know that neither did I find it in the most recent previous posts. I'm still thinking of something else. Maybe the dev and team should choose some of the possible and acceptable names and let us express our preference. Maybe we should first try to explain what we are working on, like that we can find a name that suits the coin. On this moment we are working on in wallet trading (look at the MWC forum for pictures and updates https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=752808.msg9544646#msg9544646) and a separate program that can control multiple wallets. That program is the start point for a decentralized exchange, not to be confused with an asset exchange. This program can handle the different blockchains from the different coins. Our idea is to make the holders of our coins (at this moment ECC and MWC) the shareholders of that exchange. The exchange will generate trading fees. Our idea was to distribute those trading fees, every three months, like a dividend to the holders of our coins.

What about privacy in this concept of exchanging different coins through existing Exchanges as Cryptsy or Bittrex?
(It makes things easier, I assume. And there are in my opinion good points in such concept as you mentioned them)
Of course you have to be registered at these Exchanges: will our trades be monitored of something? How's that? Where will the data of trades be stored? etc.
Edit: I suppose in the blockchain (of which coin?) or in a different centralised database?
The in wallet trading will be on the exchanges. The only one that will store data is the Exchange, like any other trade you make on that particular exchange. We don't store any data, we only retreive and send via API.

Second question:
A coin (currency or valuta if you like) is not only for exchanging them for another coin, but also for buying and selling goods and services. Where will that part be? Or are ECC and MWC chiefly meant to be traded?
(By the way: E-Currency Coin as name says two times the same: currency and coin)
In my believe, we have to create value first. This is a certain value against BTC, trust and continuation of a coin. There is no merchant in the world that will accept a coin that is not stabilized and have doesn't value. There are simply too many coins coming into the market and dissapear again. That stops merchants from accepting Cryptos. So, we want to make our coins stable, give them a purpose to start with and then look for merchants. But looking for merchants is not a priority on this moment.

Feature Request in next wallet version. Someway to tell when block is near staking, like a weight # beside it or anything else that helps gauge how close you are to stake. Thanks.

Wallet 2.1.0.0 is not staking, no confirmations on generated coins. Did I miss a version update or something??

My wallet won't start synching. I installed the latest version 2.1 and started the wallet. Nothing happens. I tried downloading the blockchain but i get a error 22 message because of the blkindex file, meaning the wallet won't open. Any ideas?
