still waiting from a response from the devs. is burstbank.com ok, or sending a transaction to yourself is somehow a bad idea?
There's nothing someone can do from you sending coins to yourself.

This initially seemed a bit strange to me also, but it could make sense if for example a large miner wanted to sacrifice a small portion of their coins to try to reduce the amount that gets sold so they can get better prices on the rest of it.

what if he got passwords from some big accounts, which were moved to exchange  Grin

a ponzi scheme ofcourse!! do the math.

nope, he does not require you to deposit the funds there, just to confirm your account by sending some coins to yourself.
now, what I asked the dev is: can this compromise your wallet's security?

There's nothing someone can do from you sending coins to yourself.

This initially seemed a bit strange to me also, but it could make sense if for example a large miner wanted to sacrifice a small portion of their coins to try to reduce the amount that gets sold so they can get better prices on the rest of it.

Sorry, when I posted previous comment didn't see this.
I thought it was ok myself, but it can't hurt to double check with the devs

EDIT: I'm Curious who's financing the burstbank

From my point of view, BurstBank currently does great things for us all.
There are big holders/miners behind it, that try to stop the burst sell off.
Hope its not just a hype, but true long term, even at 0.1% per day.

For question about financing, just check BurstBank last posts ...

BurstBank.com
Welcome!
Project provides the opportunity to receive 1% of the amount on your burst wallet every day in 15:00 GMT.
(Reward may be decreased down to 0.1% in cause of large amount of involved burstcoins.)
You dont need to send coins, passphrase etc.
You just need to confirm, that you own some bursts (send any amount to yourself).
Goal is long term price support. Hold your Burstcoins and do not sell them!

How does BurstBank finance this?  Roll Eyes

We going to finance a part, may be 50% of our mined and bought Burstcoins on BurstBank instead of dumping them.
It will motivate members to hold their Burstcoins and do not dump them, will remove a part of sell orders from exchanges.
Also, more users will install Burst wallet instead of holding coins on exchange. I think it will be better for Burstcoin, its distribution, easier to make a donation on decentralized crowdfunding for example.

That could have a lot of positive effects on burst market ... maybe if all hold for interest they can finance this by growing burst price?!
Sounds a little too good to be true :-)
Yes, it can make price higher or even may kick it to the moon.
I think, fair capitalization of Burst, at least, is near 5-20 millions $, like Monero,Counterparty or even Darkcoin, it is at the same stage with them or even more (HDD mining, AT, crowdfunding...)

How do you know if it's an exchange's address?

http://burstcoin.eu/charts/addresses-by-balance

Code:
2	BURST-R8SQ-TUEM-DTHQ-7ATA3  (Exchange: Poloniex)	9.12 %	62,131,464.32 Burst (96.30376970 BTC)
3 BURST-HK9D-P74Q-XDEJ-D6PGM  (Exchange: Bittrex) 7.02 % 47,783,086.75 Burst (74.06378446 BTC)
4 BURST-XHQ2-VKF8-X82E-BN3DM (Exchange: C-CEX) 4.18 % 28,454,014.02 Burst (44.10372174 BTC)

so, if coins go to an address and then to one of those, coin got sent to an exchange

Burstbank, y don't you just send interest to every account with a name set? Or, every account with a name and over 10,000 burst and increase the percentage based on how many burst you have, and skip bittrex? Even if the accounts still have to sign up on ur site...sending to myself is a hassle, but
