What the hell is wrong with burst.ninja? It's been 24 hours now and no payout and yes i know payout minimum is higher but i got 4TB("~capacity" shows 1,5 tb whatever that means) mining with no payout for far too long. On other pools i got 500-1k burst per day so there should have been a payout already. Because of the hiccups i switched pool for a while and my earnings where 5 times higher, now i come back hoping for some improvement and i get nothing. This is fucking suspicious. If i ever get a payout i will be gone for sure.

Bunch of weird stuff.  So, who's right?
I have 52 connected peers, 71/79 are up-to-date.   The other 8 are still using various wallets back to 1.1.0... I wish the wallet would auto ban them,  maybe it's a setting in the conf file

There really is no point in growing too fast, PR is great but growing to fast before a solid foundation is formed is going to be very painful.  Technical issues like this should be put to bed.  Again, I am all for PR campaigns, but the more people that come into this community who are not very tech savy the more people who are going to have a bad first impression.

The above example seems like a fundamental crypto-currency issue.  I'm re-quoting because I don't want this to get buried underneath PR high-fiving.

So, how about this issue?

Its defo working i just looked at it, have you got the atcrowdfund.html in the right location? should be html>UI folder in the wallet package. After that paste http://localhost:8125/atcrowdfund.html into your browser and you should see the crowdfund cases.

I had this problem too when i first tried to look at it.

Last night there was a good post about the idea of betting on sports fixtures using BURST. I am open for taking bets on all of the champions league games tonight. Max bet on any field is 10,000 BURST. I will be giving you the same odds as are on Sky Bet at the time i post this. I will start with Home/Draw/Away choices, but if you have a specific bet then message me and i will check the odds and be happy to take the bet on with you.

TUESDAY - 24th Feb 2015

Juventus 10/11 ---- Draw 12/5 ---- Dortmund 7/2

Manchester City 14/5 ---- Draw 11/4 ---- Barcelona 19/20

WEDNESDAY - 25th Feb 2015

Porto 1/2 ---- Draw 100/30 ---- FC Basel 5/1

Real Madrid 1/5 ---- Draw 11/2 ---- Schalke 12/1

THURSDAY - 26th Feb 2015

Bayern Munich 1/6 ---- Draw 6/1 ---- Shakhtar Donetsk 14/1

Chelsea 10/11 ---- Draw 12/5 ---- Paris St Germain 3/1

If this is popular i will create a website and build from this, this is purely to gather any interest in the idea.

Thanks

P

i thought a bit about options to utilize the at technology to do a distributed mining pool for the big miners who find blocks on regular basis.
currently i am not aware of the exact way the rewardreceipient works and if it is possible to mine with local wallets instead of submitting shares.
if i remember correctly the posts when the reward receipient has been introduced the idea was to be able to reuse solo plots while the first pool only held the private keys for the miners.

my approach would be to mine solo with a local wallet with an active at for the account transfering mined block rewards directly to a miningpool at which holds and distributes the funds.
the decentralized miningpool at would have to somehow be told by the miners at that the miner joined the pool and to log its send burst to the at.
regarding the situation someone has joined and stopped mining for the pool the period of time for the coin distribution would have to be set to a time in which 50-100tb would be able to find at least a few blocks. if someone stopped to mine for the pool after half of this period the dynamic payout ratio would respect this cause the pool at would know how much everyone has sent to it.
after the defined time (5-20 days) all funds get distributed to the miners based on their coin ratio.

this may sound a bit complex and i am not sure if a at would be able to gather the required data for the distribution but due to the quite big payout delay after blocks have been mined the distribution should be as fair as possible.
the at running costs i cannot estimate due to a lack of knowledge but the local ats would be payed by the miner themselve and the pool at would have to be funded.

does all this sound possible or is it a too complex usecase for the current at implementation?

Although an AT can work well as a way of distributing funds (within limits of the number of accounts it could do so due to memory constraints) the main issue I see is that AT has little knowledge of what is "going on" within the blockchain it sits on (and this is pretty much by design so it can be "portable" across different blockchains that use different "proofs").

Perhaps we could add some "platform specific" AT API functions to help with this kind of thing but it for now I doubt it is going to be a priority for our team (we are always happy to have others join us if others want to push to get platform specific features provided).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

for me the idea that one AT "speaks" to another is the interesting part in this pool concept.
this way i hope to be able to secure the mined balance for the pool.

setting up an AT which handles the coin sending to the pool AT may be sufficient.
a simple trigger if the balance of a mining AT reaches a block reward level increase should still work.
to prevent that nobody can simply send coins to the pool AT to become included in the coin distribution the pool AT shall only consider coins send by the mining AT as valid. but if someone adds a triggerable amount of coins to his mining account it should not break the overall coin distribution dramatically simply because this miner may get on average less coins back than send.

regarding the fees i am not sure if all this makes sense.
based on a timeframe of one week the miners AT would have to run about 2520 times.
if the cost for code executions are evaluated on runtime the short version would be to exit if the balance increase does not trigger and the longer to send out coins to the pool.
set the fact that the miner mines at least 10 blocks in that timeframe of one week the fees would be about 3.5% with current rewards.
for the pool wallet AT it should be enough to run only once after the timeframe has ended.

i think if i find some time i will take a look onto the assembler and try it out. i still have some burst to play with.

Burst.ninja displays it on its stats page. How the info is extracted though I am not sure. Catbref can answer that for sure

There is always the factor "Luck" included. If nobody in the pool finds a block, then nothing can be splitted!

Or sarcastic said, you plotted the wrong data, ... lol

You are relying to much on that factor

Busrt.ninja just had few payouts, what did you make for the last 24hrs ?

None and it's more like 36 h moving towards 48h.

In order to get an effective and FAIR payout system, we've based payouts more on the left pie than the right, meaning the person who finds the block will get more of the payout than the people who don't. Then there is a distribution ladder that you can see on the right with percentages.

That being said, there have been a few changes to the payout system recently that may have caused a few delays.

But, right now I still think it's more fair to pay the person who finds the block more than everyone else in the pool. If there are a lot of complaints about this, I will change it, but so far you are the only one who is saying they haven't received a payout at all...

please PM me and we can figure out the issue.

There is absolutely nothing fishy about the pool, and I am totally honest with everyone. There is no way I would ever steal anything from anyone, and I really don't like that that is what you're alluding to.
