Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to Shadow, but I think it's a revolutionary idea! However I'm having trouble with the client, someone from reddit said that you guys could help me out better? I'm running Shadow v1.3.1.0 on OSx. My blockchain is stuck on 249561 blocks and hasn't moved for the last few days. I have tried the bootstrap but I couldn't find the place to drop it, the Shadow folder wasn't in Application Support. I've encrypted my wallet and made back-ups. Could someone point me in the right direction to getting my blockchain running again? Console commands maybe? Thanks guys!  |

Try openeing up the console and typing Wait for it to show output that it succeeded then close the client. Step 2Find the folder where your wallet.dat is and delete the peers.dat and start the client again. (The reason you do this is because it may have banned nodes in it for a period because it thought they were misbehaving)
Give it a few minutes to show its downloading the chain and if its stuck again where it was then repeat Step 1 but increase the number by 100 until it sorts itself out. Disclaimer: This is a known issue that is the legacy we inherited from PoS v1. Shadow devs are now in the process of upgrading to a more modern PoS system which should eliminate these ongoing problems. The folder for mac where your wallet.dat is and the other important files for the client should be found in /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/ Make a backup of your wallet.dat and thats where you place it if ever you need to again. |

Make the hidden folders available to see in your folders option, you should see the path afterwhile. |

I believe it is the golden rule.... everybody is welcome to post here  however i do think the biggest difference is that when "cravers" or "dashers" come here and say: "SDC IS SCAM" without any feedback, its normal to use the moderation system and remove there posts. It feels like maximum trolling. I have never seen a "shadowcasher" type phrases like that. Atleast not without any feedback or serious arguments. And because some people support shadow in their signatures, doesn't mean they are trollers. Also please take in mind that if there is 1 guy trolling your forums, it doesn't mean the whole shadowcash community supports that. |
