This chart stops on January 10.

Isn't there any up to date chart of number of transactions/day?

Not Daily but monthly

This explorer, unfortunately, doesn't seem to fetch any new blocks since approximately a week ago.

With bitcoin looking to break the ATH and go beyond $5,000 potentially, what will monero do? Its held up well in $ terms so far.

Looks like in the beginning of the rally the weak hands are shaken away. Now the weak hands have btc/usd but no XMR. When btc is expensive the might be interested in buying cheap Moneros. The probability of this scenario is 30 % in my opinion.

Amazing to see 1300 pages of xmr speculations here. I felt bad when this coin went down before. I was thinking it will go down and won't recover back. I was wrong.  Cheesy

I don't know whether their hands are weak, but hands holding BTC are seemingly SMART.  I do think this might not be a bad time to dig into some Monero.  I have bought a few over the last days...

Monero looks like it has had a classic bubble and dead cat bounce. Sentiment is now fear and denial I'd guess. Next is panic.

It must be "shady" because it is actually private, right?  As compared to some coin with huge holes in it's MasterNode scheme...  What I think is funny is that either people are so stupid to think it's ok to have a compromised system when they're dealing with other peoples money or they are desperately trying to gloss over this little inconvenience to keep the price up, either way I think it constitutes fraud!

I also think it's fitting that another hack/work around will be required to fix a fatal flaw in the MasterNode system...

I refuse to feed the troll by quoting him but, I will respond.

nope, 0.5$, AFAIK xmr has never ben 0.5BTC before... I was implicating that maybe with xmr at 0.5$ I would feel a light sence of panic, but I'd probably just buy more...

The chart I posted was from the btc-runup in 2013... many many many people sold in panic at the bottom of that bubble (about 70$), now btc is 1130$

TLDR: panicking sucks, certainly when a coin has primo fundamentals, just like xmr...

Ok clear thx. I am holding Monero from when price was 0.6 $ and still holding. 100$ and I would maybe consider to sell a few but still then :p... Maybe I'm to optimistic but I believe in Monero. Going to start mining soon, just waiting for the parts to arrive.

The thing is I don't know why you waste so much time trolling Dash (and other crypto from what I've heard) do you think this somehow makes Monero look good? Let me advise you, it reflects very badly on your favourite token. If its true that you are paid to troll us then I think whoever is doing that needs to go and meditate.

Calling a scam a scam does not a troll make

But I wouldn't expect a Dash fanboy to comprehend

So good luck with your 'investment'

I don't think that'll happen any time soon. I feel that at the very least the darknet will keep it going. As said by others though, perhaps 0.5BTC......

I'm starting a technology blog T4CH.top, check it out!

Hmmmm... No response to the "Lazy MasterNode" debacle. I wonder why?  Clean up your own house before you come back, darsh boy!
