Its right before the timewarp attack by BCX should start so people are pulling out again. If no attack happens in the next 24 hours it should start to increase.
what is that exactly? is the first time I read about it. Does it affect Monero in anyway? A lot of threat and crap that came to nothing in the end

Question,
I am reading a lot of articles again today that Bitcoin will burst because transactions are way to high and payment processing time takes so long... Only people who speculate on the price are holding btc now...
If the Bitcoin bubble burst, do we go down as well or could it be a massive shift from Bitcoin into other coins? I guess we go down, a lot of speculators that own Bitcoin don't know shit about other better coins...

Speculation... 400 USD breached by end of the week. Johnny Mnemonic takes a victory lap next week or earlier, but definitely before 2018.
By the end of the week? At this rate, we could see $400 USD tonight. $390 on Bittrex now. And more important, back up over 0.02btc again!

Unless there is a paradigm shift (ie the tech gets usurped entirely), bubbles tend to collapse the whole market. Isn't fair that amazon got lumped in with pets.com, but the market couldn't separate them enough to make that distinction--at least not fast enough to avoid amazon's price collapse. Many will see Bitcoin collapse and think all blockchains are flawed. There's an actual use case for privacy and blockchains, but good luck explaining the fine details to someone who thinks Bitcoin is a company or can be hacked.

Seems like literally everything in the green.
You just can't lose with crypto it seems, wonder how much longer this will be sustainable.

We take a breather. No not like that! S l o w l y! Sit down! Looks like we may hit .047, ~$893! My guess is around the 0.03 area. That makes it around the $500-$550 Level. It should be there sometime before mid January. The way its going we'll be there in the next couple of days! As good as it sounds, I don't think its the best as I believe we still need to hit the $150-$200 consolidation area before going up to the 1K mark. Thats a big drop for the noobs!

Resistance at 355 is creaking under pressure as BTC declines.
Is this cycle any different than August? Anecdotally, the people I've talked to and have recently entered cryptomarkets can be identified in a different, new class. In August I would hear mostly from software programmers friends (a small percentage of the total I know directly), college students (most grads), some outlier wallstreet youngsters (traders/sales, < 5 % of those I have acquaintance with), startups people. This time around (starting in October 2017) I am hearing talking investing in cryptocoins from a different category of people. People working in investment banking, I-don't-know-what-is-linux types in completely unrelated industries, my bank teller, youths in business consulting and accounting, high-schoolers. They are all 'yeah, I know, price is really high, we are in a bubble, but is the future, is the future! I am gonna put a few grand, if it dips, it will recover, I am gonna let em sit for a year then I'll think about it'. Other people in wallstreet report heating daily discussions in major HFs and IBs. My impression is the growth we are witnessing could propagate forward in time and size sufficiently as to up prices lastingly, flooring them half-to-one orders of magnitude more than pre-spike market time pricing (October: XMR 80-90 USD range; BTC 4000-6000 USD range). I usually don't care for short-term analysis, but I want to increase my stake and thus need to look at it for the right timing. Thoughts?

Monero would probably lose most of it’s value, but still dangle by a thread. Seeing that XMR is probably the only coin that is actually used to buy and sell real, physical items it probably wouldn’t die out completely. However most people who hold XMR probably hold to speculate and the items that are usually bought and sold are illegal. Perhaps lightning will fix this potential issue soon...

Soon I will buy XMR but I don't have a buying opportunity at the moment. I follow Monero curiously and I will buy one day

Now I am able to log in Kraken. On xmr deposit there is no transaction ID. Have I just missed it, or there really is no? Do they create individual address for each customer?

They might use integrated address. That is how it is on Poloniex.

Once speculators get into BTC they generally research alts and one of the first alt they will learn about is Monero as can be verified by the subscriber numbers. XMR is becoming a safer hedge than any other except USDT as far as I can see and I think it's because a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and these people don't know USDT is a worthless token that is backed by nothing.
