monero's getting better; zcash isn't (duh)
Monero is one of the best privacy coin in market and i respect the development with strategies implemented by the team lately  but you shouldnt compare the price of the coins because they both have there own enthusiasts. With that been said, Zcash is currently having a problem (some expert said it not that privacy as people believed) right now which was what i believe triggered it dump in price though i dont know if the claim is genuine cause i dont follow the coin.

What do you mean 'one of'?  It's the one and only really super mega best privacy coin out there.
Youre right about that but i said one of best cause we also have others privacy coin which is doing well either.

I really don't get why everybody isn't getting into it.  I mean yeah sure, BTC...  It's the biggest.  But XMR complements BTC if you want to hide your stash.
It appears panic is the reason why some people don't get into it due to the false statement made by McAfee about privacy coins while he's (McAfee) trying to pump his shit privacy coin and with the new development and simultaneously solution implemented by XMR team things should be good in a couple of weeks.

My theory of why so many people group these other coins with xmr as ‘privacy coins’ is because of all the other btc forks of the past. You could technically make the argument that 98% of all coins out there are ‘transparency’ coins (I.e. litecoin, doge, etc.), ‘smart contract’ coins which should be in its own category, and then ‘privacy coins’ that run any other algo and has some sort of shield tx/mimble wimble/mixing feature, etc.

I feel people group them the same way people group certain stocks together, because unfortunately people don’t go past surface level research on these things and only look at short term profit margins.

I'm afraid you absolutely right because i was once on the exact page when I'm inexperienced and the same thing still happen till now for there are few people in the market that perform in-depth research about the crypto they want to invest in while 95% of investors only invest base on hype and misleading articles/news.
XMR still standout in the privacy market though

Since no hardfork is needed, then it can be used as soon as you upgrade. Hardware wallets and similar businesses probably need to update their software and you will be able to use their services only after some time. Also as with any update dont just jump in and transact your retirement fund over Monero right now, but wait for possible bugs and do that in a week or two.

Yesterday I saw XMR at 0.0071 that was nice to see when BTC was also in the green.

It would be nice to see Monero recover a few figures there and get back up to 9 or something. Has been a bit depressing of late how its was mainly steps down and they stuck each time.

All the best everyone.

The more you speculate for the coin the more you become greedy and finally will loss your benefit in early sell. You shouldn't speculate for the coin like Monero as this coin is existed since many years and traded in high volume. The speculation done only for the coin which are unknown and new. So. for Monero(XMR) just invest and wait for good time.

What are you talking about? I been invested in it many years (Posting in Monero threads since Aug 2014) and used to help out here and there with the developer missives summary tracking and sharing early developmental progress.
He's saying invest, don't speculate.

Sep 2019   159,225   9,798,992   1.62%

Number of Monero transactions increased for 10% again. But this time also number of Bitcoins transactions increased for a change. In 8 mints transactions almost tippled.  But in last 2 weeks it was felt like Monero is catching a breath and number of transactions did not increase with a rate as at start of May. But with a rate like this we will be over million by end of the year.

One of these days the bitcion maximilists will realize monero is faster more fungable as well as cheaper to use.

Really the killer app would be some kind of trust minimized atomic exchange.  Via lightning/tari perhaps?  Because in a sense Monero's least private bit is on/offramps more than anything else.

I agree, I wonder why it's taking so long?

I would like to help but I do not have much skills.  I assume it's just a lot of work developing that sort of thing.  But in many ways having the ability to do trustless atomic swaps from BTC to Monero would be perfect.  I suppose Bisq is close...

How's everyone feeling?

What's the sentiment right now... I'm starting to feel bullish again.

Monero, whatever its USD value is deafeningly undervalued in BTC terms.

ATH on transactions is delightful.

Engineering still looks strong, Tari coming along.

Anyone feel we actually might even see ATH again?

Today I am just starting to study daily trading, as well as how to correctly make a technical analysis. In addition, on all the resources that I visit, they respond very positively about Altcoin Monero , because this coin has very high volatility, which gives unlimited opportunities for earning using various trading strategies.  According to research data, Monero’s growth potential is still not exhausted, and therefore it is obvious that even with the use of the simplest trading strategies on Forex, you can earn very well and most importantly do not provoke frequent triggering of stop orders.  I now try to work only on trading simulators, but meanwhile, when choosing coins for real daily trading, Monero will be one of the first.

Extremely bullish on monero, for me it is the only true digital cash.
