The only thing this sort of threads will result in, is a general distaste to even go to the one cryptocurrency nexus on the web - btct itself. I'm actually disgusted by the attempts at "proof" "presented" on Monero here.
I've many times said I'm disgusted but now I really know what that saying means.

I agree. The amount of shit said in Alternate cryptocurrencies leaves a stain on the forums. I'll say it right here, it is very fucking annoying and anyone who shills against other coins to try and maximize their profit off a coin they invested in shouldn't be surprised that the majority of the users on bitcointalk hate this section and want it removed.

Sorry.  Often "FUD" is actually people trying to get to and expose the truth.  I've been accused of fud dozens of times.  When I'm not paid by anyone and I have no investments.

People don't realize how much money people lose by "Investing" or "Gambling" or whatever you want to call it on these heavily marketed pump and dumps.  Or premines.  Or at the very least dishonest launches/modifications.  Or coins trying to say they are the leader in [fill in the blank] when they are not.

I would argue that people buying into the misinformation shit around here is much more of a stain on everything than "fudders" are.

The scams have gotten more subtle and sophisticated. Last year you could simply copy-paste clone a coin, create a logo, instamine the fuck out of it, pump it and get way with it. Now you have to create some fiction about the deep web, Cicada 3301, your coin being Satoshi's next project, aliens, etc. to think you have a chance, and even that didn't work.

This is progress actually. The scams are being driven out, if slowly.

Bytecoin's developers aren't capable of developing the coin, and need to borrow code from Monero without attributing it.
