A BFL Single has more than 5 times that hash power per cash.

You sure about that.   A BFL single gets 25 MH/ BTC or ~5 MH/$?  Sweet.  I need to buy me some of those $166 BFL Singles.

BTW I don't own any of giga's bonds and I don't intend on buying them at 5MH/BTC but your conclusions are ... off.

The sale will happen at 9am EST on 4/10/2012.

that will be tough then. I hope we, the people won't ddos glbse with last second requests to put a bid at high enough price to be top 500 and still not pay too much

e: btw thanks for the specifications about time/zone. i've set up an alarm for that

This bond offering is definitely not for the experienced miner. It is an easy fact to see that if you have the resources ($$$$), time and energy to run your own mining equipment, you will get better value mining yourself.

If however, you're wife doesn't want 5Gh/s of heat producing noise monsters in the house, this is a great alternative to put your BTC to work.

As an update for investors worried about me running, Nefario has requested and received the following information.

  • Copy of my driver's license
  • My address
  • Two confirming online sources of my address
  • My facebook account page
  • My linked in account page

Please know I am here to be successful in all ventures put forth. I would expect nothing less from anyone else running a venture such as this.

Best,

We are about 1.5 hours away from releasing the final 500 bonds. Make sure you have your bids in.

The final 500 bonds will be released at 9am EST today. Once they are sold, transfers will commence for the pre-sales.

Remember, the first coupon payment is next Monday 4/16 and will be for a full 7 days of 100% PPS earnings. This is an extra bonus to anyone holding the bond on that day.

This is just the beginning.  Cheesy

I had a bid in higher than the last price, but somehow didn't get any shares... alas.

Do leave some more shares for those of us with shallower pockets next time if you would be so kind.

lol at the person who paid 10 BTC for a share. Pity you can't see a full history of sales. I'd like to know what was the lowest price paid for this IPO.

I wonder whether the difficulty will change during that time?

Well, in any case, this was a good stress test for GLBSE. Server didn't go down, but it dropped a decent amount of pings and was slow to respond at times.

Ah, yes. of course. It would be nice to have it on GLBSE itself, and it a format that is exportable to a spreadsheet.

The graph on the assets page shows the price of trades over the entire history of the asset, bringing your pointer over the line will show you the exact price and time of trade.
