hi, what is a triple top if I may ask? thanks  Wink

In detail: http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:chart_patterns:triple_top_reversal
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Well if it's a triple top the "crash" is coming VERY soon, pressure of a starting downtrend could be at this point.

But my "downbreak alert" is under 2100 satoshis and I am waiting there because it could still rebound. I am willing to go 10% lower before taking actions. Until now I still have some.

Client Update: v1.1.0.0-pre (Pre-release)

Finally an update.  This update addresses a few major issues.

- The code was re-forked from a fresh litecoin tree and rebuilt (including litecoin's git history to properly show our lineage)
- Sync issues were addressed by adding DNS seeds.  Config files are no longer mandatory.
- Icons were updated (for no real reason) to current oxygen icon set
- Version numbers bumped

The "unofficial" github was renamed to litecoindark-staging due to it no longer being unofficial.  As an official developer, I make my changes to a local repository and publish to the staging repo whenever I feel I've reached the next target milestone.  At which time, I submit a pull request to Robbert for review and merge into the official github.  I do not manage the official github, nor do I have any direct access, but I prefer to work this way as I have complete control of the staging repository and Robbert can continue to maintain what gets into upstream.

This release was pushed out quickly due to all of the sync issues that people were having.  My local repository already contains various additional updates that will see a public launch in the next few days, and I am simply releasing this version for people to test and ensure that some of the bugs have been fixed.  Once some distributed testing has been done, we will release version 1.1.0 proper.

You'll note a message in the QT client stating that this is a prerelease build and that it should not be used for mining or merchant purposes.  I would like to reiterate and specify this directly. Do not use this for mining or merchant purposes.  It is a prerelease build and some things may break.  Due to this, I will not be providing binaries, but if you would like to checkout and compile your own copy, feel free to clone the repository at https://github.com/TrollByFire/litecoindark-staging.

Thank you all for your continued patience and support.

well there is the classic triple top

Edit: Or we could see a busted triple top....lets only hope!

The crash would've happen (or will happen) if price go under 2100 satoshis. The fact that the price stopped around 2400 (with some panic sellers at 2300) is pretty good for LTCD.

I almost sold during the drop but my red flag is at 2100 satoshis, not 2300, it's a very important point on the charts. I actually bought at 2300.

This "short-term downtrend" is not over yet but it looks good. Still, if it goes under 2100 I'm out.

Iam not worried about the price it is still higher then it was 24 hours ago. I think some are selling to make profit to buy more since mining is slow now till the diff is fixed.

People want as much as they can get so you will see them try to drive down the price. Then watch the buy support its like 3 to 1 People just need to hold on and don't sell below 3000 sats it will get there no problems. But if they can drive it down they will try.

well there is the classic triple top

Edit: Or we could see a busted triple top....lets only hope!

The reason this "triple top" technically busted (so far) is because of the strong momentum we had from the Moving Average and this very important detail:

The "significant" high is the 1st top because the other 2 did not went higher. So the significant low is the one followed by the "signicant high" at 2100 satoshis, not the other ones. This is becoming your "support" or your "trigger". In the case we go under 2100 satoshis, the price will drop over 50%.

The fact is, the "triple top" never broke the pattern because the trigger is at "2100 satoshis".

Btw, I got some buy orders around 2400 right now.

Yes, maybe a small dip to 2400 and go back to 3000....At 3000 anything can happen, a breakout would send it to 5000-6000 satoshis, and a fall back/downbreak to 2100 satoshis would send it...very low.

It's pretty much a big turning point right now on the charts and we got through an important 1st test.

Exciting times for a stock trader/technical analyst  Grin
