Scrypt is quite clever, since the hash rate will skyrocket when MAT release the 250 and 500 mhash miners next week and for that reason very difficult to mine coins. So spreading the hash rate out on promissing coins does that we won't se an explotion in diff on LTC. There is other coins looking more promissing than LTC like LTCD.
X11 and all the others will die out over time or almost is already. So as I see it its going to be 2 different algo that would survive SHA and SCRYPT..

the opposite (in my humble opinion) advances in the mining gear in bitcoin proved that, it is is just that more power will be required to drive it, initially these devices will cost lots in 5 grand range, they will go at LTC at first, probably should see lowering of price, owners of expensive gear will try to repay machinery to get back money they spent on hardware and do so fast hence recycle LTC on exchanges fast, Xn variety neoscrypt fresh, absolutely stays , actually scrypt-N will very likely become less difficult to mine as miners will attack scrypt as fast as they possibly can. so there is an opportunity there,
after that market will reach new low plateau and rise again, my take is that I want some coins to "age" regardless if its Xn or scrypt and hashing shifted to those, this is main hope

this is nothing! 5 x , I mean watch for two digit % increase (in difficulty) seems dev has not released his 3% and could have done so already

every moment now you risking mining less and less with more $ into rental gear which what people do, I say if dev does not realease premine you should see 2 digit % increase soon

+ decreasing reward ratio, checking table again on page 1, coin btw in my best estimation might reach 1 $ FIAT a unit and go from there all depends on you

if I would be dev at the stage when there is large increase in value, just like companies do, make an announcement here something like this: "selling 0.5% of premine in order to raise capital" which could and will be tens of thousands of $ and create bounty for "darkcoin" style development (level of engineering there requires spending) name is great , improvement and dynamics to LTC as its backbone is great and future is bright.. unless premature release and sudden death.. but I am repeating myself

been for few hours still how (  0 active connection to litecoindark network

Please see the issue on the github I linked earlier.  Update and attach a few hundred lines of your debug.log.  Let us know what OS you're running as well.

for advice,next time i suggest you to provide wallet exe,..because many people does not familiar and confused with fille like this...
how to set up,what %app data%,what config file,what console,what debug,what log ..etc.
except your goal is litecoindark only for people who understand about files like this and how to set up...just forget it

and... this hash rate has increased over the last hour, block 16,208 halving next to 800 coins from 1,600 is 25,628 and rate to find block has increased rather dramatically (net hash rate stands at 39,936.43 MH/s), it is going really fast, would be interesting to check exchange volume... doing this next, this all is sort of like when one would get on LTC when it first began

noticed I have 1,144.221382 LTCD sitting in the pool wallet, in confirmed state, cashing out fast...

one still could mine couple of thousands by renting if you willing to spend BTC, seeing mining gear now between 200 and 800 MHS probably rentals they draw couple of thousands of LTCD a day and going against time table because 1/2 reward will happen not far from Today

a bit of advice.. burry LTCD wallet deep underground and triple encrypt with AES 512 or AES 1024  even if you have 1K of them

because I am hoping for this https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty (click on YTD chart) only achievable if there is sustained interest, Litecoin won't experiment with anon or neither they care for much from our list like tor, so there are key differences, so right now 1K LTC is like what 11 BTC I think, and ain't stopping, actually it is a bargain price. good time to purchase LTC (impossible to mine) I am not cause I enter coins in early stage via hardware (no FIAT), because I see parallels here and + of course

one of ideas that would add to HPS (hash rate per second) and value would be idea of "merged mining" look what it has done to peseta and doge coin both received boost, merged mining with LTC might be possible too although a bit funny but...

merged mining with darkcoin would seriously catapult this to Saturn, but they won't allow it, merge mining "dark variety" is not yet happening it does not have too DARK stands on its own (also impossible to mine and its difficulty holds steady, also bargain in my opinion but I missed it at the early stage.. my loss...)
