Happy talk doesn't answer the question man.  Trademark law is serious stuff.  Kayne West killed that coin that took his name.  BCTD could be sued also but the Bitcoin people are hippies and I guess don't care.  Just some documentation would quiet this.

Nobody 'owns' these projects. The Kanye West issue was because he owns his image rights. So, unless you can find a celebrity called Mr Litecoin, you're not going to encounter legal difficulties with using any similar names or terms between coin projects, unless a particular tech is closed-source and is the intellectual property of a legal entity.

Google, Walmart, et al, are centralised legal entities with established brands. Unless 'Litecoin Inc' was already an established legal entity and it could be claimed that somebody created a coin solely to profit off the back of the brand of a known legal entity with that name, there is no way to claim ownership of the name 'Litecoin'.

In order for a defense to cost what you suggest, the plaintiff would have to put up that amount or more, just to get the case started. I don't see that happening here.

We are receiving disconnects as soon as we send the version message. Ill leave the wallet open to see if we pick any peers up but i cant reactivate deposits and withdrawals until it has connections

LitecoinDark isn't suided. Troll and I didn't recieve any emails or private messages about this. This is a part of FUD from whatever guy or girl who has interest in hurting LitecoinDark. They see the potential and wanna kill the coin. Fairly said I already saw this FUD coming sooner or later.

This is because devs changed pchMessageStart in the new version. It's like a magic fingerprint which clients use to determine if they're at correct network. Existing clients refuse your connection because you "talk different language".

Devs: this is a huge mistake and you should never change pchMessageStart. Changing it is like waiting for a disaster.

It's what wallet version and protocol version are for to determine wether the other side of p2p connection is at our version. Please change pchMessageStart back as soon as possible to allow new version wallets to join exieting network and sync. It's not possible to make a smooth transition into the new version with incompatible pchMessageStart as new wallets cannot join the existing p2p network.
