Don't upgrade your wallet until it is released on Wednesday. Stay with original version v1.1.0-pre1-dev.
If you uprdaded then you need to degrade it. Back up your wallet.dat and then remove all folder.
Install original wallet v1.1.0-pre1-dev and download blockchain and copy back the backed up wallet.dat.
You must have read the news from last 7 days...

So, um... this update on Wednesday. I understand the want/need for secrecy but those of us involved with exchanges need a little bit of info beforehand. Especially if it's a mandatory update. Xircom, is there anything we can do to get a little info ahead of time so we can be prepared? I'm sure pool operators need a heads-up as well.

We have collect from every exchange and pool private email adresses. So if you one of them you will recieve a email from the devs.

I do NOT see richie posting here from Bittrex that he is aware of the wallet change coming. That would be re-assuring to see, in light of the latest mix-up of unread emails. Just because emails get sent to everybody does NOT mean they opened and read them. richie@bittrex.com plus he has posted in this thread during/after the last mix up, so a direct private message to his box here would be excellent too. That should motivate a reply post directly here to the thread, telling us that, "Yes, Bittrex is ready for the wallet update.". That would be very nice to read, assuring everyone of "Smooth Transition". thnx.

Sounds good. I will confirm with X3n0X that he has forwarded an address so we can stay up to date. Thanks for the quick response!

Gave my email, but did not get a confirmation that they received it / added it. Would be great to receive a confirm / test email with at least a time indication that's more relevant than 'wednesday morning eu time'.

Seems there may be a bit of confusion.  Wednesday's update will not affect any older wallets' abilities to sync, nor will it involve any kind of network fork.  The changes are stability related, code cleanup, refactoring, and preparatory.

Ah, that clears up a bit. It was first mentioned as a "mandatory wallet update" and at the same time offered no firm release so it had us a bit worried.

Xircon is showing offline. I just think it is kinda important to get confirmations from exchanges ahead of time to insure no repeat and a smooth transition to new wallet this time. But, I see the point that it doesn'r matter now because old and new wallets will all work. That implies there will be no chasing wrong forks and other problems that happened at last fork. So, I guess we are all good to go.

Here is to "Smooth Transitions"! Cheers!!  Roll Eyes
