100T + seems to be the magic numbers lately.
Funny you say that. I had noticed that not a single person who rented 1+ PH has ever found a block here. Not sure exactly what that means but as well as some very lucky people there have been some very unlucky people. There is really, however, no way to confirm the hardware you are hiring isn't configured in such a way as to never find you a block mind you so you're always taking a risk (they'd need to be very nasty operators and I seriously doubt they'd risk their reputation with so much hashrate at their disposal but you never know). Reading onward from here does not make me happy. Unfortunately it's a risk you take when renting gear. You are trusting the hardware owner to not have any malicious intent. You are trusting any proxy they've implemented to be properly written and not malicious. You're trusting any mining software they're using to be properly written and not malicious. You're trusting the rental site to not have anything screwed up in their redirecting software. Why nobody who's rented more than 1PH/s has ever found a block here is unknown. It could be as simple as crap luck, or as unfortunate as those large rental providers acting maliciously. You'd have to dump a whole ton of coin into those rentals to even get a glimpse of a hint that something is potentially amiss. Even then, the rig owner could potentially be covering his tracks very well and actually only withholding a portion of block solving shares so it would look like nothing more than relatively bad luck. |

I think I've been in 3 of these... so the block we just hit has made my coin back, or close enough to it to be a wash. The next few blocks we hit will be icing |
