u can find a block even with s1, or a stick miner!
it depends on luck! obviously if you have 450th then you have 1000 more chances; but if u have no luck, it doesn't matter what hash speed u got!
eligius pool is at 28h without a block, with 8.5ph!

I have a question. Are we all working at the same time on the same blocks? Or is it different all the time for every worker? for example if I have 10 minors under one worker and I rent a large miner it then ends, will it continue on the same block or will it all everyone has a different clock to work on. Also if somebody has a very small miner does it chances are way lower than something that they have 10 times that? Or is it just pure luck?

Everyone mines their own random data on the same network block as everyone else and there is no such thing as "progress" in mining. Your chance of finding a block is purely proportional to your hashrate at the time. What you mined before, and what everyone else is mining, has absolutely no effect on your chance of finding one.

So you have the same chance with an S1 vs a 100TH rig?

So I moved them into the garage and soon it was 100 degrees out there and I'm cutting holes in the ceiling and installing extra a/c units, wife complained even more. Finally got the ultimatum and rented a space to host them at. Wife thought I was nuts...until today
