Should I mess with my miner diff? Will it help somehow? Can someone explain the whole diff thing and if it makes sense to adjust? I have 30 sp20's if that matters. Thanks.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274023.0However since I wrote that guide, and wrote the diff management code ckpool and therefore this pool uses, that means you need to do nothing here (and it makes no difference with solo mining anyway).

I think the coolest form of gambling ever invented would be to rent as much hash power as you can afford for as long as you can and point it at the solo pool. I notice it solved blocks this week. 4 if memory serves me correctly. considering the mighty 'guild' only solved 1 block yesterday with 14 pts ..... hey i think you need luck now to mine bitcoin

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I thought some of you know of this... I have noticed on my rigs on MRR that when a couple of people rent my rigs the hashrate goes right up to high TH/s These are antminer s3+ miners that normally run 450 to 470 ghs. Has anyone seen this before or know how they are doing it so i can as well ?

[yes it is off topic your hash rate is being measured by the shares submitted the difficulty you mine at can effect this also who knows what kind of software interface is in play, maybe the place doing the 'rentals' wnats people to 'believe' they are getting a little 'extra' ?? quote author=stevej link=topic=763510.msg11332740#msg11332740 date=1431203060] Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I thought some of you know of this... As I read it it's the difficulty of the shares that the miners are submitting so makes perfect sense for bitcoin . I haven't supplied hash to mrr so I'm not familiar with the stats they suppply to rig owners but imho it would make more sense to show that then the coin difficulty.

I guess it does say "share difficulty". Just not accustomed to seeing the worker difficulty past a decimal point.

Normally it just shows 1024 or 2048 as the share difficulty on that screen when the miners are running at normal speeds.. Its only when they go into th/s speeds as above it shows that.. Makes me wonder if they are actually getting those speeds as I cant see the actual antminer interfaces, they are hosted in china..

Yes this is correct. Now on nice-west hash when this happens they pay more I do not think mrr pays more due to the nature of the renting structure being fixed. Back on topic nicehash order #372152 has 0.775 coins and 36 hours left westhash order #372179 has 0.575 coins and 28 hours left they combine to this miner below: http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1CqbvmuJcLFDFzFewKmBVAaghXEtByzY9Y{"hashrate1m": "89.1T", "hashrate5m": "99.3T", "hashrate1hr": "100T", "hashrate1d": "88.3T", "hashrate7d": "45.7T", "lastupdate": 1431225900, "workers": 2, "bestshare": 3,658,430,639.756474} we are looking to move that number up to 48,000,000,000
