There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

They turned off their hashing almost immediately after they found the block. So either they were waiting for it or it happened just before their rental ran out.

If it was the latter then lucky sod.

lol, yeah they had a big push for a while there. Curious if they used personal rigs or one of those huge rentals at MRR or just a ton of hash from Nice/West.

Just noticed on blockchain:

Hash Rate   319,729,431.81 GH/s

That's about 20Ph drop in 4hrs.

That doesn't mean anything, as that's well within normal variance.

I was following orders on NiceHash and one of 1 PH orders was canceled just after block was found ... so, yeah, this hash was obviously from NiceHash ... congrats to the winner!

i spent 17 BTCs for this block. so it's about 8 BTCs profit.
last time i rent 1phs with 9.2btcs in a fixed order.i didn't cancel my order. it was over(or maybe nicehash did something samrtly after block found!). i was getting disappointed in last minutes! these 9.2 btcs was my last bitcoins!

ARGH Tongue Just pulled a 33G best share why does difficulty have to be so damn high!
Blame bitmain Wink

and bitfury and knc and spondoolies and Asic Miner and avalon .

 Grin

I am trying two 5th from westhash and two 5th from nicehash.

total of 20th for a day or so.

Good luck.

thanks  I have decided to do small orders pointing about .2 btc each  shot 1 or 2 times a week .

I can deal with a loss of .2 or .4 btc.

I can't deal with a big 3 to 7 coin pop like I did last week.

I think it's still better that we split the loss than taking it all by ourselfs. I would do more but my list of people I trust is small.

Congrats on the block find!  17BTC to make 25 is not a bad deal at all.

Congratulations!! I've rented 1 PH yesterday for an hour or so when the price was right but to spend 17 btc on it takes real guts. Enjoy your profit :-)
