And another Friday lottery player here  Cool

I have some little rentals at MRR running here right now, and smth odd is happening - one of the rented s9's located in Germany is constantly switching from solo.ckpool.org and de.ckpool.org to a backup pool showing this:

"One of your pools is reporting an excessive amount of rejected shares. In order to assist the failover, we've temporarily disabled this pool."

All other gear is hashing normally.  What could it be?

The dodgy extra mining protocol put into the S9s purely to work with antpool. Solo doesn't have code to ignore the extra protocol data from those S9s and rejects them as invalid shares. Looks like they have the very early S9 firmware or something like that.

this shitty bm  Angry  Thanks for the explanation anyway...
Well, then instead of the lottery this s9 will add to my regular hashrate at KanoPool for a couple of hours...
Good for me that I always rent a bunch of different machines for 4-5 hours and not the only one for a day, so some part of lottery hashing goes on))

What is The friday lottery? Thanks
It's my personal lottery  Cheesy
I call my mining here a "lottery". Every Friday I take some money I can afford being wasted and instead going to a pub and getting drunk I rent some hash and try to get a block here. It's like buying a lottery ticket once a week, but here it's more fair, more fun and the same low chance of winning)))

Looks to me like a large rental on top of someone who already had a significant number of miners running.  Still hoping to see a lucky "small miner" solo solve from like a single machine owner type of miner.  We haven't had one of those in a while.

Heh, at this point the only ponies I have in the lotto race is a gekko stick and my Antminer R1.  Both are in fun runs, just going for best shares, but still I play the lotto and these little miners have better odds at solving a block than I do of winning the state lotto.  Both are essentially 0, but still...
