Have just read through last 4 pages...  Well, shit happens, but the way -ck compensated the losses seems to me something only Santa can still do nowadays, though I wasn't one of those lucky guys (have just checked my best shares just in case).
So I just wanted to run my usual Friday lottery, but now i'm a bit confused - do I have to point my ants to solo.ckpool.org:13333 or usual mining to port :3333 is also possible now?
As far as I understand it, ming to port :13333 is mining to a test part of the pool, and doing it will help to test the new code, and this is the only difference? Do I get it right?
Anyway, if I find a block, I'll help our local Santa -Ckaus with a donation.

You can mine to either port, but mining to 13333 is mining the test code with segwit activation flagged, and while the code has now been bugtested and appears to be working fine, I give no guarantees with it (though I'm almost certain it should be fine now.) If the lack of guarantee concerns you, or you wish to not signal support for segwit, mine on the regular port 3333, though once the test pool finds a block successfully, I will not be giving an option against segwit.

Well, clear and lightning quick answer.  Thanks, -ck! As I treat my solo minig once a week as a lottery, I do understand low chances of winning, so the lack of guarantee is smth that scares me least of all)))
So i'll go to 13333, hope to become the one who proves with a block the test code works fine  Cool

One more thing - couldn't connect to de.ckpool.org on port 13333, at solo.ckpool.org it works fine now. Is it just me or 13333 not available at de. ?

Test pool is only on the main pool. The de pool doesn't have enough resources to run two pools fast enough for me to be happy with their performance.

Quick question, should minors aimed at the 13333 test pool show up in the user stats or are they separate until you deploy the test code to the main pool? The iOS app and website are both showing a rate of 0 when I've had 3.2Th/s aimed at the test pool for the list 85 minutes? (As mentioned previously I'm only lottery mining 90 minutes a day)

Edit: a 5 minute / 1 hour rate of 0, it is showing a 1 day rate of 100M, which I'm guessing was yesterdays lottery attempt.

Is there still any chance an antminer s7 ln can find a bitcoin block nowadays with the difficulty so high?
Also, is the old pool still good to use?
Thanks in advance, have a great day.

Well, far more chances with your S7 as with an U1 or U2 or S1/2/3/5.  Grin
Low but possible.

I hope that helps.

For every block found on the bitcoin network, none is by a miner bigger than an S9 ... which is about twice the hash rate of an S7?

It's getting really hard now, been a week in test pool with no luck....but still mining.
Hope someone will bring us all some lucks  Wink
Well the test pool is only up to 17% diff so it would have had to have been very lucky to have found a block by now, but yes it would be nice for a lucky block to cement it.

There's nothing at all wrong with the regular pool, it just means you're not helping me test the new pool code, but that's entirely up to you.
