Did you offer your help to help to him ? Ho wait... NO
...
There is a significant difference between my not immediately offering advice, about a device I have never personally used, and CryptoBuddha's douchebaggery; but, please do continue...

...CryptoBuddha, if you require more help to mine with your S5. Sent me your questions in PM. I will do my best to help you....

You might want to reread the thread, CryptoBuddha didn't need help;  CryptoBuddha was the one saying anyone that needed help should sell off their device.  Undecided

Bitmain use pretty much the same UI for all his products

Can my antminer s5 work with it
and how to connect a miner Huh
On the cgminer setup page, use something like this:
Code:
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Pool1:             | stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333  |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Worker:            | 1PKN98VN2z5gwSGZvGKS2bj8aADZBkyhkZ  |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Password:          | x                                   +
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
But replace 1PKN98VN2z5gwSGZvGKS2bj8aADZBkyhkZ with your own bitcoin address.

Sorry for offtop, but... People became so lazy...  Angry

When the Zcash mining began there appeared a lot of newbies at the Bits.media forum asking for a .bat file to start mining... It's very annoying. Almost everything is described many times, especially if we are speaking about S5-like miners... But those noobs don't even want to make a single move to discover somewhere in the web how to setup their miners or asics...  Undecided It's so easy just to ask for "a .bat file" instead of some "googling"...

...All miners are 13.5TH or smaller as there's no such thing as a unique device with more hashrate. Look harder; you're looking at the worker. His overall hashrate was 420TH.

I'll be restarting both pools within a couple of hours for rolling software upgrades for performance improvements and better propagation of blocks between them. As always downtime should be virtually non-existent barring new bugs.
A few unexpected seconds of downtime there and only partially upgraded for now. Mine on.
One more restart coming up to hopefully complete the upgrades.
All restarts complete. Sorry about any inconvenience. Block on.

one of my miners (S5) still see the pool as "dead", although I can ping it when connected in SSH, and all my other miners are fine. (I've restarted it HW/SW)

Could it be blocked by the pool ?

Kinda defeats the point of a "vanity" addy to hide the addy.  Tongue

My proxy at our data center is showing solo.ckpool.org:3333 as down. But a separate miner in a different location (with a different ISP) shows it as up.

Maybe there's a routing problem that's causing failure to the pool from some locations?

Was I helpful?   BTC: 3G1Ubof5u8K9iJkM8We2f3amYZgGVdvpHr
