My mining room doubles as a drying closet, don't need to buy a dryer anymore ...

C'mon, 1 in 7.4!

Only problem here is that all that moisture is then being sucked through your miners since its airborne.

Lol humidity is a biatch.

In other news today is a sad day for me. Running your miners on your dryer's 220v connection temporarily is awesome, until it's laundry day. I swear next time I'm taking the laundry to a laundromat.

All 4 miners are taking a breather while the undies get 90% dry.

I hate shutting off any of my machines. Hurts too badly. On another note isn't the heat cycles bad for these machines (any server equipment for that matter). I am no expert in electronics but has always been told by the old salties that you should turn them on and let them run. Constant heat cycles is a killer of these electronics. Anyone confirm or deny?

Relative humidity at ambient is close to 100% here anyway - but since the miners run at +40C to ambient moisture doesn't hurt the miners at all Smiley

The last 2 network blocks were found by Ant, were 12.5 BTC and only 286 Bytes each. Does that mean there were no transactions on them? Is that something that normally happens?
Yes, Antpoo does that quite often. Slush even does it from time to time.

It hurts all of us when they mine empty blocks.

Not sure what you are looking at it. It would help if you post a picture. But if it's the red line on the graph page, that is just an average of the whole graph which is about 23 or 24 days, so it takes time for it to move up.

Yeah it's not the value used for the next reward - the current 5Nd point is always moving (over 1000 times a second Smiley) and only calculated when a reward is processed.
The red line is the whole graph - as beltsniffer said.

Aw come on - why not just hang the undies a little bit away from the hot exhaust of your miners? It might take a little longer, but you'll be getting double the value from them.
I've got my two 741s in the bath (it's a big bath...I'm in an ADA unit). Keeps the room warm in the winter, and my towels etc. nice and dry. The noise level isn't much for prolonged meditation, however.  Kiss

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

what do ppl put in there...
as I understood it, just adding:
001
or
002 should do it!
You have to add the dot '.' or the underscore '_' on the front - i.e. you remove the username but leave everything else.

can you clear out some more! I read some and expected rewards and payments depend on the block being found... 2 weeks later...[yes] or [no]

how does the pool pay anyway!
there are no settings for that, just the

Damn, too many nice ppl here btw.

 Grin

At the moment, the rewards are once per block found - as long as your reward is above dust = 10,000 sat

The dust builds up into dust bunnies and will be sent out after I complete the new accounting/payout code I'm working on.

That new code will also allow you set limits on how often you are paid - weekly or monthly if you're not in the top 100.
Top 100 will be able to choose: per block, weekly or monthly also.

Of course we first need to find a block - C'mon block where are you! Smiley

Sorry. Yes the red bar in the whole graph.

I understand! So thats not really a 5nd ramp up setting.

So +5ths to the chain...

Its totally gong to be the straw that breaks the block... i can feel it.

Did you just desolder the old pcie connectors and put new on?

Yes, after suggestion from someone here...

Working great !

I had used a crappy power supply on my first ever S7, and paid for it... melted the cable sheathing and made a mess of the power connectors.
Only antminer power supplies from now on...

I've got a T9 that I am about to undertake the same task on. Any issues you ran into?

None whatsoever.

I used a re-solder hot air gun to easily de-solder the old connector.
(Sometimes tough to do with just a soldering iron.)

Desolder, clean up the board (heat and alcohol to wipe away the plastic/rubber residue) , then solder on your new connectors and fire it up !

On a serious note, someone crack this block. Probably shouldn't joke around about leaving as there are too many that probably will take me seriously.

You are correct. I really, really, really hate to see that. Today they had 505,432 -  505,407 - 505,406 that did not have any transactions. I know there are transactions waiting to process because Kano pool has one out there at a low fee that we will process in the next block we find. It is a very bad thing for BTC in my opinion. All due to GREED. They do not care at all about about bitcoin or they would not be processing empty blocks.

I first thought you were serious! Went and looked and Slush and they just had a 420% block earlier today. Hope we get one rolled out soon but , it is what it is.

Mine on!
