All this selling is based on FUD out of China. I bought BTC today. LOL The fundamentals haven't changed folks. Limited supply, some lost forever. A median of exchange that ALL OTHER crypto's are priced against. Let the sub 80 IQ's sell. LMAO... it is like buying a New World Currency that has no CENTRAL BANKER....... at a discount.

COME ON BLOCK!!! MINE ON WITH KANO-SAN!!!
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It's not just $BTC though, it's all of them.  $BTC broke the five handle a few minutes ago but rallied back up $600.  Now's the time to be buying and mining.

Yep, buy when there is blood on the streets. I don't have cash for an S9 but I bought .05 BTC today at $10,800 per coin ($540). Of course it actually dipped below $10k a little while ago but one mustn't be greedy. As they say, "Pigs get fat, but hogs get slaughtered".

My gut says a bunch of buy orders got hit at 10k which helped recover the market from the tumble. MINE ON!

Hey...some of us remember when it was under USD $300...  Kiss
I remember when it was $2 at the end of 2011 after a 'bubble' of $30 at the beginning of the year Smiley

Edit: when I found out about BTC - July 2011 - it was about $17 and for the rest of the year it went down ... clearly the price wasn't what got me interested in it and kept me here Smiley

If I remember right it was around $20 when I got involved. It is what it is. If nothing else Bitcoin is a good roller-coaster ride. Seems to always bounce back stronger in the long run.

Seems like there is fear that China will shutdown miners. Reading that they would move to Canada. Hopefully we get a couple months of decreased difficulty as they move.

Again, all they do is just move the mine, simple one month outage at the very least and then back on like nobody's business.

Crypto-Universe has the 821 bundles up again, at a pretty good discount too. Still a little too expensive for me though.

I've brought my little S4 to kano and have been reading thread.  I've seen some screenshots of the website that show features I don't see? Worker stats, account info, etc.  Am I doing something wrong or is the site undergoing growing pains?

Are you working with your BTC address or your Kano worker name?

If you are mining with only a BTC address, you don't get the full stats.  If you want to see the full stats, mine with a worker name.

If you mine only with a Bitcoin address you can view user and worker stats:
e.g.
http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://www.kano.is/worker.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

An example of mining with a worker name for you would be something like:

URL stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
Worker philosothink.s4

Moving that scale of an operation from China to Canada would hardly be a month downtime. I wonder what affect it would have on machine production as well though....

Nothing happens until something moves.

This pool has the best community.

I have one of Sidehack's hacked S7s (which used to be in Fuzzy's mine) running in my office again - at least another 3th/s to the pool!
...
I'm very pleased I was able to find those s7's new homes and help Sidehack with a Good cause by donating them to him for mod/resale Smiley Out of originally a couple dozen that were in the farm I have just 1 left and yes I UV/UC'd it for the better eff/lower noise. Works fine in our inspection room at work Wink

I have not been able to get kano.is to actually let me log into the account it told me I created and gave me worker info on a popup congratulations message.   It returns a login failed and sends me to home screen.  I've been mining by wallet number in the interim.

and thank you for jumping on my question!  I appreciate the heck out of you.

as I see it China takes all the cookies at the end of the party.

they make the miners.
they have the largest pools.

when the legislation settles, bitcoin is ChinaCoin.

i'd be happy as a pig in political office to be wrong.

Your username is case sensitive.

If you set it up correctly it will say
Quote
Your account is registered and ready to mine.
It also shows the username there with _worker1 added on the end when you succeed.

If you can't remember your password, use the password reset.
You have to have a proper email for that to work.

Has nothing to do with machine production, although they may have a limit on where and how many they can test before selling.

And yes it would take at least a month to move everything, that includes getting the new mine all set up before anything is moved in.
