Nice to see all these blocks. My retirement fund (the coffee can in the closet) is happy-happy.
Ubuntu just pushed an update for Bitcoin Core...Bitcoin Core version v0.12.0.0-g188ca9c (64-bit). Seems to be fine when restarted. If anyone's got comments on that, you can maybe PM me to save space here. Just don't want any blindsides.
Nothing crazy. Just an update to 0.12.0. It's been out a few days already. If you want to know what was included in the upgrade you can find the info here: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.12.0

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Hey guys, i'm putting my kano.is password in the cgminer configuration and is working good, why i should put the "x" instead of my real password? It's more risky?

don't use your account's password for a worker ... it doesn't required one. Just put "x" like the example. From the first page information Mining configuration: Go to https://www.kano.is and register a username to mine with, by clicking on the Register/Reset button, or mine directly to the pool without registering, using a bitcoin payment address as your username. No password is required.your password is only needed to access your web page account and should be not use for anything else.

never use your real password. period. The miner config password field can be anything, I use 123 and xxx. All pools I know of don't require anything in the password field. Why risk it?

Hey people, have a doubt. Right now I have one SP20 pointed to the pool, but my N avg is going down since two days ago, don't know why. According to the stats page the sp is mining right, and my hourly avg looks as should. I appreciate all help.

You never want to use your account password in the cgminer configuration! The reason it works is because anything will work. Change it to x or something like 123 or anything but your real password asap! Edit: I see everyone has already told you this...using your real password is dangerous!

The pool hashrate is increasing over that period. The pool hashrate goes up, your hashrate stays the same, your percentage of the block goes down proportionally. The pool hashrate goes up, we find more blocks, you get paid more often, but a smaller amount. The pool continues to have awesome luck, you make more here than other unluckier pools.

hi everyone..I'm newbie in mining, but waiting for my s5 reaching this Saturday.. After a week of research I've decide to buy a s5 and join in ckpool.. But I've a couple of question.. Is it too little hash rate for joining ckpool with 1150g/s?.. So, I just have to keyin the stratum that listed below to get my s5 work? .. Im person with no fate with lucks, would it better for me joining other pool? Because I tried google how to point s5 to ckpool seems not getting any.. stratum+tcp://stratum81.kano.is:81 stratum+tcp://stratum443.kano.is:443 stratum+tcp://stratum8080.kano.is:8080 Appreciate if any answer helps.. Sorry for my broken English.. A S5 is plenty fine. -Connect to the S5 -Click miner configuration -Add pool url ="stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333" -Worker = "YourUsername.WorkerName" -Password = "x" The complete instruction are all on Kano's main page; https://www.kano.is/@Virosa, thanks for the help. But there's few more question overcome.. The miner will automatically point to nearest server? I'm from Malaysia, Singapore should be nearest. Average how much earning I could get with a s5 turned on 24/7/365? Kinda confused with pplns system.. But what I found its the best with payout if the pool got lucks.

Use a calculator; Simple; http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculatorComplex; https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculatorYou can replace the URL to connect to the server location you want when they're up. You might want to keep the main URL as failover if you do.

Ping from Malaysia to SG node is quite impressive at ping sub-30ms, tested during the SG node trials by a Malaysian miner. Ping for me, was supersonic at 3-4ms, but then again, I am probably just next to the exchange (SG is small country)
